It can be hard work to get the right car
We looked at many vehicles to replace a long string of station wagons since they are no longer being made. We did not want a large SUV and looked at all the Big Three competitors before deciding on an Equinox. After deciding the trim level, colors inside and outside, seat type and that we wanted a sunroof we asked the salesperson to find one. There are some expensive extras like chrome and electronics that we did not want on the car. This is where we learned that dealers in this area apparently will not go outside their "dealer trade distance" to find the buyer the car that he or she wants. Two weeks and over 450 dealer websites in eight states later we found the car that fit our criteria. I called that dealer and an hour later had a verbal bargain and credit approval. We drove 675 miles the next day to that dealer, bought the car and spent two pleasant days driving home. I learned from the selling dealer that they CAN access inventory information far away from their local area. It seems that most dealers would rather switch the customer to a higher level car or one with additional high profit accessories that the buyer does not want. Yes , we were buying a 2013 in July when the production run was over so we could not order the exact car, but a $3000.00 upgrade to an LTZ was not going to happen. At four weeks and 1400 miles we are very pleased with our choice.

Best deal Quality Price
The dealer shop was very nice and skilled. The whole team provided a very good welcome, professionalism and adapted the proposal. As we are "New" in this country, we didn't get any credit score. Nevertheless, Chevrolet in Woburn made a correct proposal respecting our initial budget. So, we bought 2 cars from them ! We strongly recommend Lannan Chevrolet to Expat and otheres !

Equinox is everything we wanted
My wife and I loved out 2010 Equinox...but we purchased it used and the mileage was getting high. It was time to trade out of it for something new. The 2013 Equinox was the perfect replacement. Perfectly priced it gave us the familiar features we were used to, incredible gas mileage for an SUV, and reliability as well as some new "perks" like Bluetooth, onstar and xm radio. We could not be happier.

Great Car, very satisfied
We have put about 1400 km our our 2LT 3.6L FWD Equinox. We used to have a 2011 2.4L GMC Terrain with few options. .We're enjoying all the extra features with our new ride. We found the 2.4L to be slow and frustrating to drive. We never did get the mileage we expected because you really had to push it to get it going. The 3.6L is much more fun to drive and we are pleased with the mileage we're getting because it's much more responsive and we can take it easy. The bluetooth phone is great. We were frustrated with the Terrain's lack of this option. Mylink is awesome. I'm not too fond of the GPS. It's not as nice to use as our Garmin but at least it's integrated into the console. There is plenty of legroom in front and back. We love the adjustable rear seat. The power hatch is so much nicer to use. We feel we got good value on this purchase and would do it again.

So far ,so good.
Tested out many SUV's before deciding on the Equinox. Our main concerns were a good ride with decent fuel economy. Most other models we drove had a stiff ride or too much road noise. Of all the models tested the Equinox seemed like the best choice. Rides great and handles very well. Very little road noise. Love the movable back seat. Many great options with the 2LT. We like everything about this vehicle except it could use a bit more power. Also don't understand why on a 2013 there is not a push button start.

Best Vehicle I've ever owned
I am blessed to be back in the seat of an Equinox. Owned two of he 2010 models (one V6 LTZ and on 4 Cyl LT with AWD) and was foolish enough to sell them and trade for a Hyundai Tuscon LTD which was an unmitigated disaster. I found the four cyl Equinox to be just as peppy if not geared better and peppier than the six with about five miles per gallon improved mileage. My detour to the Tuscon was full of nightmares (Hyundai lied profusely about mileage, the vehicle drives you instead of you driving it - always jumpy requiring full attention, rides like a bouncing brick and a long list of other complaints. Finally after two years of searching, I found my 2010 Equinox LTZ 4 cyl FWD which I recommend because of the best performance mileage combination - gettting the promised 32.1 mpg with highway driving at 65-70. I wanted the only metallic blue that Chevy had made and that came in the 2010 with two-tone light grey/black leather. I drove all the way from Florida to NY to get the vehicle, a real find. The dealer completely went over the car to ensure our safe trip home and upgraded anything that needed work on the 43,516 mile vehicle. It was such a pleasure to get back in the seat of an Equinox and especially appreciated after driving the thirsty, cramped wild rabbit Tuscon. First, the Equinox is ALL about appearance, comfort and performance. A great looking vehicle that still turns heads, especially in metallic blue. The leather seats are comfortable with great lumbar support, great road view and roominess. The back seat ajustment makes room for a long-legged basketball player. The storage area seemed huge after squeezing items into the small Tuscon. Everything on the dash is well thought out, safe and convenient for driver and passenger use. Fit and finish are excellent. The sound system is phenomenal and we thoroughly enjoy the DVD system on the back seats which allows rear passengers to view movies. The noise cancelling technology provides a quiet ride even at highway speeds. Potholes and bumps are absorbed into the solid suspension and the vehicle drives itself in a smooth and comfortable manner. A totally comfortable ride. Wife likes it better than her previous LEXUS SUV. The four cyclinder is geared just right and has plenty of torque for acceleration onto the highway, yet cruises well to sustain the unheard of mileage in an SUV of this size. This vehicle is totally technologically wise with all the toys you could ever want from giving you mileage and travel data to managing your next oil change, not to mention OnStar which is another bonus. I have owned over 40 vehicles and the Equinox LTZ HAS to be the most purposeful and best value for the dollar of any vehicle I have ever owned. Again, I recommend the four cyl FWD which has plenty of performance and produces 24/32 mpg. Thank you GM for producing a SUPERB vehicle. My wife will be in driving heaven. I'll probably pick up another, perhaps a 2013 for myself soon.
