Very great vehicle

I had this car for a year and a half, never had any problems with it. Light enough to thrash around.

Perfect for Empty Nest Mom

I decided to start looking for a Chevy Sonic after my husband and I rented Sonics on two different vacations. We drove one from Kansas to Florida and the other from Kansas to the Grand Canyon and were very pleased with the performance and gas mileage. When it was time for a new car, I decided to look for a Sonic. I am very pleased with this model. It is a turbo, so has really good pick up and is great on the highway or in town. I have the hatchback model and while the car is small, it has enough room in the back for my groceries or a couple of suitcases, etc. It is a four door and the back seat is surprisingly roomy. My tall college age son was surprised that he didn't have to fold himself up to sit in the back. The only thing I dislike about the interior is that there are no armrests for the passenger's left arm or the driver's right one. A little awkward on long trips. I like the compact size of the car to maneuver in and out of traffic and to snag smaller parking spots. All of my kids have left home, so it is the perfect little car for me in this next stage of my life.

Great first car for college students!

This wasn't my my first car but I wish it would have been! I have had this car now for over a month. Gets great gas mileage on the free way. Currently I'm getting 32 mpg. Great features with onstar and mylink that connects to your phone. Drives smooth and has good stability. At first the engine sounded odd much like you would hear from a truck but since I have had no problems I'm assuming it's just what chevy vehicles sound like.

Fun-to-drive little car!

My wife and I were in an accident and our old civic was totaled. We needed a car fast and bought a dealer certified 2015 Versa Note SV on the last day of July for a song. We liked it for it's spacious, comfortable interior, great efficiency, nimbleness and ease of shuttling around locally, but it truly lacks in terms of handling and power, so we decided to update our family fleet and purchased a 2016 Sonic LTZ from Hertz with 33,400 miles to replace our other old car. It was an amazing deal for such a recent model year. We're very happy with the decision and consider it a great value for a car that's an awful lot of fun to drive in addition to being able to haul as much as we'll ever need to haul. These little hatchbacks offer good storage and the Sonic is no different. It has a novel fake floor in the cargo area that can be removed. Not sure how frequently I will need to make use of this feature, but it is interesting. Unlike the absolutely bare bones interior of the Versa Note, the Sonic LTZ's slightly nicer interior includes a few useful little things like little hooks on the rear hand grips upon which one is able to hang one's dry cleaning, or compartment to place one's phone, or intelligently designed upper glove box that offers an smartly placed, easily reached by the driver spot for a pen. The rear camera is nice and it's easy to read the digital display while driving. Steering wheel controls make sense and are easy to use. All pretty straightforward. The infotainment system is not this car's strongest point, but it also isn't a big deal as long as it works. The touchscreen isn't terribly responsive or easy to reach while driving, and the radio has needed to be replaced three times since I bought the car about a month ago due to some software issue. It is still under warranty so it has been covered. I am hopeful that it will not continue to be a hassle. It would also be nice if the Sonic offered carplay like the 2017/18 models, but it's not a big huge deal unless you really need to integrate your phone's navigation capabilities into your car's touchscreen. I don't, and wouldn't have gotten the car if that was a requirement. While the interior is unquestionably budget, the heated leatherette seats provide a level of comfort and luxury that is untypical of most car's in this class and pretty darned enjoyable. You won't ever feel like you are sitting in an expensive car, but that's not really what the Sonic or any subcompact is about. This car is great for getting around locally though, gets good gas mileage and is easy to park on the narrow streets in our residential neighborhood. Nobody is going to knock off my mirrors anymore because , in addition to the Sonic's mirror's swiveling, the car is narrower than even compact-sized cars. Passengers in front and back have plenty of vertical space, yet sit closer together than in larger cars. We actually kind of like it, though it would be nice if there was an arm rest of both front seats rather than just the driver's seat. The narrowness makes the car more nimble and brings us closer together. Transmission performs exactly as expected so far. Despite the turbocharged engine it is a little hesitant to respond at lower speeds, so no drag racing lies in this car's future, but that's not it's purpose. Performance-wise, the Sonic LTZ has been exactly as advertised. Together with its low price, nice, comfortable interior with up-to-date amenities, and distinctive style that makes it a great car to own.

Good car for the money.

I think the Chevy Sonic is a good value for the money. It does everything that a car is suppose to do. No problems at all. It's nice to drive. It isn't very exciting and a little strange in the styling. If it was a 2 door coupe with a manual transmission I think it would be very cool.

I love driving this car!!!

The Sonic LTZ is a lot of fun to drive - haven?t enjoyed driving any car in a number of years and am ridiculously happy with my purchase. I?ve never been one to get giddy over any car, but this one is special. Looking forward to driving it for years to come.

The most felt good car I test drove.

This car is exactly what I was looking for, something that is dependable, affordable, low mileage and the perfect color. It has all the features that your luxury car has, and it doesn't have the luxury car prices.
