It almost everything fails one thing after another And don't have enough money and time to fix it. It is very comfortable but if didn't have any problems i would of liked to keep it.

Costly Major Repairs on REPEAT

One costly repair after another. Like others have said, this car model is a LEMON! Bought it used in 2019 for a little under $12k with only 16,000 miles on it, as it was a former rental. 4 years later and we've spent half this price in major repairs. AC compressor has failed TWICE, engine overheated on the highway due to major leaks/failures in the heating and cooling system which cost almost $3000 to repair, and now just today I'm spending another $1000 to replace the wheel hub and bearing assembly for both front tires. I'm surprised this car hasn't failed on me and gotten me into an accident with how many issues it has had. Contacted GMC to get reimbursed for so many of the issues (car's engine failed at only 36,000 miles) and they had the audacity to laugh in our face and reimburse only $200 for the $3k-4k we've put into parts and repairs. The dealership we bought this car from also ghosted us completely. BEWARE OF THIS MODEL AND CHEVROLET/GMC!!!

Great car so far. Handles hills on the freeway.

Found our car at a local Toyota dealership. Great service. Was looking for Low mileage and a newer car. Great gas mileage also. Paid car off, but didn't get any deal for doing that was hoping to get free oil changes like my son did.

Sonic engine is a coolant leaker.

I have 2019 chevy sonic. Bought it used. With 52k on odometer. Around 62k. Experiencing. Leak after leak. Everything is plastic. If you purchase keep an eye on coolant level. Check weekly. Other than that love the car.

One repair after another!

We bought a 2017 turbo new, we have had problem after problem after about 50,000 miles, two water pumps, AC problems, timing belt replaced twice, once because of botched repairs at dealership. Now one of the cylinders isn’t holding pressure and we are still paying on this stupid thing! I have been told by two mechanics that it’s cheaper to replace the engine, than to take it apart and fix only what’s broken. A new (used) engine is between $2000 and $4500 not including labor! That is a down payment on a new car. And even if I replace the engine how do I know there won’t be another major repair 2 months from now? Giving up! If you buy one, get rid of it before the bumper to bumper expires or you will end up like me

Great little car!

Lots of space, great on gas, great pick up, lots of features, very comfortable! Never had any issues. It was a great first “adult” car!

Chevy Sonic is Awesome!

I bought my 2017 Chevy Sonic LT sedan used last year with 45000 miles, what a great car, rides well, plenty of power, nice interior, solid car. Riding in it you can tell its the same chassis as the Buick Encore and Chevy Trax. Its a quiet well controlled ride and handles well too. It does exhibit some road noise but most cars in this class do. Plenty of interior room for me and I'm 6'2" I actually raise the seat up 2 notches and keep it somewhat forward in its track. I get a lot of compliments about it. Mileage is about 32 combined. Given the chance I'd buy it again without hesitation.

Money pit plain and simple

This car has given me nothing but problems since purchased . Been in shop multiple times under warranty and to my own mechanic . Same problem every single time and never seems to get fixed . Chevrolet dealership I purchased it from has been very difficult to deal with and honestly not even worth my time or money anymore. GM used to be a good manufacturer but have become bottom of the barrel as far as I’m concerned. I highly suggest avoiding this car and manufacturer for that matter ......
