sparkin it up!
I'm a die hard Chevy fan but I already had a truck and wanted something better on gas mileage putting around town. Yes, it only seats four but I fit a 5.5 foot Christmas tree two adults, one child and a full basket of groceries in it. It's fun to drive and comfortable considering that I'm 5'9" tall. BTW 300 miles on one tank of gas and it only took $24 to fill up. Winning!

Bang for the Buck
This vehicle is great. We came from a very old truck and went on a limb to buy this car....needless to say, it greatly reduced the strain on our budget with the gas mileage it gets alone. With the gas money we save, we can pay for one month of having the vehicle in 2 months; this is comparatively speaking (from our old truck). For the money a person spends on it, this car is totally worth it. It is very affordable with a ton of great savings attached to it like gas mileage and great battery life. In addition, oil changes are a bit less frequently necessitated. It doesn't have a CD player in base models, but we use mp3's and the likes which is fine for us. Yet, there are some people out there that still use CDs and such. So, you will have to ask the dealership to add it. This car may look compact, but it also has really good leg room in comparison to the Scion and other tiny-car brands. Another great attribute of this car is that the blind spots while driving are quite miniscule. I noticed with the Chevy Aveo and Kia Rio the blind spots are a bit iffy. The spark has great view all the way around. Another awesome attribute of this car is that it can hug the road just fine and it doesn't sway much at all when huge tractor trailer trucks drive by. I was very impressed that a tiny little car like the Spark could hold its own so well. Lastly, this car is super easy to park. It takes up no space at all. So, for kids who are getting their first car, or taking the driving test in their parent's car, this is the perfect vehicle to parallel park with. I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who does a lot of city driving. It is great for places with a lot of sprawl.

Great little economical car
I purchased the 2LT model and what a pleasurable little car. The CVT is quite peppy and very smooth and the car is loaded with options of a car that would cost $25,000+. Highly recommend this vehicle to anyone that is looking for a dependable, reliable, economically and spiffy little car. Thus far, have had zero problems and car performs better than advertised in my opinion. Gas mileage has been about 42 highway and around 38-40 in city driving. Cannot ask for more car for the price, so if it holds up as it has thus far, I will be quite pleased.

nice little car
What bad can I say about this little car.....hmmmm....not to much....the CVT is super slow on take off but once your at about 30mph it picks up and does great. The stero could be much better but that can be replaced. Last im sure I purchased a 2014 it should be standard for ALL new cars whatever model to have Bluetooth and ALL auto door locks not just the fith door. Other than the couple downsides this car is amazing for going back and forth to work and for any student. PERFECT first car for teens.

Great city car for the money
With our daughter just about ready to drive and myself taking a new job across town, making shuttling her to activities much harder, we went on the hunt for a new car. Initially we considered buying a car that both her mother and her could share, but the only cars we found that made sense financially, would end up costing us more than just adding a third car (plus she could take this one off to college). Since I'm driving nearly 50 miles a day, I've been driving it as a daily commuter for until our daughter gets her license. It's certainly not going to win any awards for plush interiors, 0-60 MPH races, or quiet road-free noise. Nope, that's not the purpose of this car. What it is, is a great little city car that comes equipped with nice features that nobody else in the segment can touch for the price. It's got great fuel economy (I'm averaging 34-35 in the CVT version in the city), a touchscreen, and with the Bringo app on my iPhone, a GPS. It's easy to park and with a very small engine I don't have to worry about my daughter having too much power too soon. There are short comings, like no spare, but with nearly all the cars in this segment (Mini, Fiat, Scion) have no spares. Instead you get what amounts to fix-a-flat and an air compressor. The ride can be quite harsh, but I have to remind myself this isn't my car, it's for my daughter who simply loves this car. We test drove both the 2013 and 2014 automatics. We could have saved a little money in the 2013 but the difference between the 5 speed automatic in the 2013 and the CVT in the 2014 was night and day. The CVT transmission makes the car a really decent city car.

I like sparky
So far just love this car, im 6ft plus and had orginaly not even considered it unitl a test drive changed my mind. MPG has been 38/40 so far so really like that. only minior thing is when the seat is all the way back and arm rest down it does get in way when buckling. Only problem i have overall is it does not come with a spare tire, looking for a aftermarket kit but no joy yet. I got the 1lt and it has more stuff on it than i can even use right now as i do not have a smartphone and that is needed for some functions.

2014 Chevy Spark CVT LS
Getting 35MPG city driving, on island where most of the roads are 45MPH. Have seen 42 MPG highway with this vehicle. Only 2 issues and 1 peeve with this vehicle. The CVT transmission is sluggish and also shudders at 1200 RPM @ 10 MPH thereabouts when the ambient temperature outside is approaching 90 degrees F or higher. Also MPG suffers as temperature rises. Vehicle performs very well when temperature is below 80 degrees F. With the best seen in the outside ambient temp in the mid 60's. Chevy should look at this issue as it may be an indication the firmware needs to be changed to change shifting ratio's at higher temperatures, and some additional transmission fluid cooling may be indicated for higher temperatures. The Tire sensors are very inaccurate at higher outside temperatures and behave the inverse of what is expected with tires and higher temperatures. The behavior is the same whether nitrogen or air is used in the tires. When outside temperatures are in the 60's F the sensors seem to behave accurately. However as the outside temperature rises in the 70 F range or higher the sensors tend to show low air readings, often as much as 3-4 PSI off, at night when it is cooler the readings are higher, and during the day when its hotter they are lower, the opposite of how tires behave in regards to tire temperatures. This is so bad that at higher temps the readings from the sensors should be ignored except when the low tire pressure indication is set on the dash. The only peeve I have is the the rear seat does not fold down completely flat, which makes using the space harder. Chevy could have done a better job on the back seat design. The headrests also are too forward on the back seats, making them uncomfortable. The dash avg MPG readings appear to be accurate and so far have compared very well to MPG calculations based on fuel fillups.

Love my new car
I love my new Spark. I got the 1LS and it has everything I could possibly want and then some. I got the Jalepeno one and love the color and how the trim inside matches. It is surprisingly roomy inside. Even my husband has no trouble riding in it. I haven't let him drive it yet.

audio
The audio is ok for such a small car; however, NO cd player. It has USB and Ipod. input. If you are computer wise and realize that the files have to be MP3 or they will not play. Don't use Itune to create Flash Drives, ITunes creates MP4 which wont play on this car. So far this has been a real pain in the neck. Could use a better center arm rest, it is right in the way of the safety belt. My 2014, 1IL as of yet (100 miles) has yet to get over 18.5 mgp. Dealer says wait until you run a couple tanks of gas. Don't know if this is right or not, hope so.
