So far so good

I just bought this car used. So far I have no complaints. It drives great for being 11 years old. I feel very comfortable and safe in this car.

Car drives smooth and quiet, no issues.

My sons car, moved to NY dont need anymore, always maintained and replaced components for safety not because they failed. New front hub bearings, brake linings, water pump, fan clutch, alternator, starter, battery etc, a very reliable car. All scheduled maintenance always to date.

Good vehicle for price

This vehicle rides well, it's pretty quite not great gas mileage for suv but it's good enough for me and has lots of towing power just what I needed.

owned the car new and till now it runs perfectly

the car packs a really reliable engine and a powerful one. the interior is outdated but judging that mine is an 06' LS it is pretty good inside and with some care everything shall stay looking fresh inside and its exterior is very stylish back in 06 and till now it is not outdated in the looks department (and compared to the new trailblazer it is far better in everything even the interior as the new car has cheap plastics everywhere on the interior)

Good SUV

I have owned my TB for about 9 yr's. I bought it used with 24K on it and have driven it about 45K. I have not put a lot of miles on it but have owned it long enough to figure out most of its faults. For the most part its been a great vehicle. Things I like about the TB. The 4X4 6cyl 4.2 has lots of power, can tow small boats, trailer. Lots of room and good rear cargo area. Runs smooth, very reliable, drives well in snow and ice. Does OK off-road but got to take it easy nothing crazy. Things I don't like. Cheap plastic interior molding, Brakes are a little weak, Auto Transmission is a three speed with over-drive, if a person did not have a good feel for the over-drive I could see trans giving them problems over time, it shifts to much and to fast. With the windows up going fast you can hear wind blowing at the top of the windows. MPG 16/18. Idler tension pulley to drive belt have replaced three times. After all said, I still love my TB and would buy another one if they still made them.a

Decient, Reliable 4x4 vehicle

I have an 06 trailblazer lt 4x4 with the 5.3 liter v8. purchased it in Feb of 2012 with 66000 miles. It now has 112000 miles. since I purchased it, I've replaced normal maintenance items such as tires, brakes, both front hub bearings. replaced the rear hatch latch, stopped latching. Overall this has been a great vehicle, with regular oil changes and generally taking care of it . the 5.3 liter v8 gets just as good fuel mileage as the 4.2 liter 6 cyl according to friends who have that motor in theirs. plus it sounds a lot cooler. it is well optioned with leather seats and a moonroof. it's a beast in the snow, never left me stuck, have a set of bridgestone blizzaks on it for the winter. drove through a winter with standard size tires on it and it did just as well. Overall take care of it and it will take care of you.

2006 Trailblazer with High Miles

Just got a 2006 Trailblazer with 176,000. This SUV is in great shape. I've had one before & liked it so I have been looking for a CLEAN one. Took a couple of months of looking but, I am happy with what I got. Definitely well taken care of. Only problem is the fuel guage is not accurate. This is a problem with Blazers &Trailblazers. I keep my vehicles a long time. My last Blazer had 376,000 miles & it ran great...just rust & oil leaks.LOVE THE COMFORT...leather & heated seats.

Would never go back to a car!!

I had a 2004 Chevy Malibu that the timing chain broke and bent the valves. I needed to look for another vehicle. I always wanted an SUV but always thought that they were way out of my budget. Low and behold I did a search on cars.com and found the vehicle I wanted to look at. I found an 06 trailblazer at Mid Island Hyundai and went and checked it out. I'm glad I did. That evening I drove off the lot with my new truck. I love this truck so much. It is beautiful inside and out. Very comfortable riding in, roomy, and to me luxurious due to all the options this one had. I highly recommend the trailblazer. Oh and I get great gas mileage too...who would have thought in an SUV.
