Reliable SUV

I have put almost 50,000 miles on this vehicle. It has been reliable with the only cost being routine oil changes. Good power. Roomy and comfortable. The AWD is money well spent.

Pleasure to drive in town and on long trips

I needed a 3 row SUV and had a 2002 Tahoe with 136,000 miles and felt it was time to trade! The Tahoe was very comfortable but dealing with taking the 3rd row seats in and out was a PAIN!! The Traverse is almost as big inside as the Tahoe but the best thing is the 3rd row seats fold down flat with the floor! Whoopie!!! The 2 Captain's chairs also fold down if you need more room to haul. The Captain's chairs tip and slide forward for easy entry to the 3rd row bench seats. I might also mention that the Traverse is a good $12,000 to $15,000 less than a new Tahoe! As for driving, the Traverse has a gutsy V6 and the 6 speed automatic always seams to be in the right gear. The "All Wheel" drive is a big plus in the Winter. Fuel mileage is better than the Tahoe but not by much! It is a large SUV though. Controls for the driver are well laid out and the touch screen and GPS system is easy to use. The wife and I like the dual heat and cool controls and also the heated and cooled front seats. Cruise controls are now on the steering wheel along with a control for steering wheel heat. Cell phone controls are on the steering wheel also for "no hands" calling. The memory drivers seat is a big plus for us because the wife is 5' and I am 6'. I just wish this feature was available as an option on other models! I do like the way the drivers seat remembers which driver is unlocking the door and adjusting the seat for that person. A couple of things that I don't like are the "express" down on the drivers window. I like to set it part open sometimes. Also, the forward emergency braking warning lights on top of the dash, come on when approaching parked cars on the right hand side of a curved street. Arm rest storage between the front seats is scant, to say the least. All in all, I would say that Chevrolet has produced one of the roomiest and comfortable big SUV's in the market. I will say that I shopped all of the 3 row competition before deciding on the Traverse!

Love the space!

This car has tons on leg room, even in the 3rd row seat. I love everything about it, except I don't feel like it has as smooth of a ride as other vehicles.
