Great Little Commuter, Flawless
After two years of ownership and 37,000 miles, my Trax has performed flawlessly in every way. I average 34-38 mpg, depending on driving conditions. (I try to drive with a light foot.) City driving is actually a little more economical than 70mph freeway driving. I think maybe it's a bit underpowered for higher speeds, but it runs great. The ride is quite firm, but not harsh. Handling is very nimble. Seating is firm, well-supported and comfortable. I chose the driver comfort package, and am glad. The power seat is great. No squeaks or rattles anywhere in the body. Okay, it's not "sexy" compared to other small SUVs, but I'm seventy, so it doesn't have to be.

Car is reliability but a lot of features optional
The car itself if okay. Doesn't have cruise control and I can't get sirius radio. No heated side mirrors. All these are optional and I didn't know it when I bought the car. I assumed they were standard, except for the heated side mirrors.

Surprisingly comfortable for a small SUV.
I was surprised by its driveability, comfort, the amount of stuff that can fit in the car, and its zippy way of getting around town. Practical but fun for me to drive.

2014 Mazda 3
I will never buy a Chevy ever again. If you want to buy American, then buy a Ford or GM. Stay away from Chevy, especially the Chevy trax.
