The Volt is an amazing vehicle that is better than anything else available on the market (and I have driven both the Prius and Nissan Leaf on more than one occasion). The Volt is stylish, sporty-fun, powerful, quiet, very comfortable and rock solid at highway speeds. People are genuinely shocked when they see it and many say "it looks better in person". When they drive it they are very surprised with its performance. But the most enjoyable thing for me about this vehicle is I simply plug the car in at night (like I would my mobile phone) and then wake up with the surreal feeling knowing my transportation needs for the day will be gas free! It really is more freedom than electric. GM truly has a winning formula with the Volt, OnStar RemoteLink, and dedicated Volt advisors which help the customer feel front and centre. I love almost everything about the volt! It is fast, comfortable, handles well. I wish the visibility out the rear was a little better, but I am used to it from the Prius. It is the best car I have ever driven.

This car is terrific! We've driven 1700 miles in 2.5 months and used 1 gallon of gasoline. Charging overnight on a 110v outlet has worked great and costs us about 1 cent/mile of range. We've been getting 35 - 45 miles of battery-only range, which is sufficient for almost all our daily driving. Plus it's a really nice car. The quietness of electric operation plus complete lack of any squeaks or rattles makes it feel luxurious. The ride is comfortable and the features are extensive. My wife and I practically fight over who gets to drive the Volt. I definitely could see buying another one when it's time to replace a vehicle.

The Chevy Volt is surprisingly comfortable, exceedingly quiet, and performs/drives really well. Great job, GM!

I have two Chevy Volts, one with > 12,000 miles and the other has 7,800 miles. They have been trouble free and exceeding my expectations. The car handles and rides great. I live in Syracuse NY and the car performs better than I expected in the snow. Lifetime MPG is 173 and 115 for the two cars. Electric range is from 30 miles in the winter ( 10 F) to 42 miles in the summer, best was 53 miles.

You can try to compare this car to other "commuter" cars but unless you actually drive one and see the quality and tech involved then you just won't understand. Take one for a drive and prove me wrong. before writing it off. I'm easily saving over $200 a month over the fuel costs of my previous vehicle and that is taking the extra cost of electricity into consideration. Take that $200 bucks off of the lease price and I wouldn't be caught dead in another car for under $200 bucks a month + fuel. This car is not your average economy car.

Excellent performance and very inexpensive operating costs and maintenance. It costs less than $1 to fully charge my Volt, and I can go 35-45 miles without using a drop of gas. I can also use my car on long trips and average about 44 MPG on a 12 hour trip. My lifetime MPG is over 100!

Picked up my 2012 Volt in October this year after waiting 6 months for my order to be fulfilled. It replaced a Jeep SUV that I was averaging around 12.3 MPG to work. I couldn't be happier, I'm averaging around 650 MPG !! right now, I am able to go 18 Miles to work & 18 miles back on Electric everyday and the only day I burn gas is Sunday when i take my 5 year old to swim class that is 22 miles away, so i end up burning .2 of a gallon on that trip. For me it was an easy choice, I have another SUV for any major lugging around i do, but the Volt is by far a smart choice for me to get to work and drop my kids off at school. The quality is as good as my previous Audi TT and the acceleration and pickup is on par with the Audi too, just a lot smoother and less effort. The car is quiet and comfortable and I just returned from a 325 Mile round trip that i was able to average 56 MPG (electric and Gas. The bottom lines are: You'll burn little to no gas on Commutes You'll average a great MPG on longer trips The Car is full of techno gadgets You have ZERO range anxiety, it will go anywhere a regular car will go Its fast and smooth and is sporty to drive When they stick the EREV power-train in an SUV i'll be replacing that vehicle too.. Its the way to go to become energy independent. Love it

getting 250plus mpg, hands and accelerates like a dream, plenty of room for 4 people, just a really great day to own and drive. Driving 32 miles round trip commuting, get home with between 5 and 15 miles left on a charge depending on traffic and the weather. Actually gets a better range driving in traffic than on the highway as you recapture some of the charge everytime you slow down or brake

This car is awesome. The instant torque is so much fun and the silence is cool as well. This car has exceeded my expectations and is very well built. It is very comfortable for long rides and is so much fun to drive. I used to own a V8 powered sports car and I like this way better. Off the line Its really quick and I doubt there are many cars that can match its instant torque.
