Do the math and use cars.com
This is my seconds volt. We got a 2012 for my wife a year ago and we loved it. After I took it to work one day I realized I would not use gas or very little for my commute. So we decided to go for a second one. Did my research in this great website and communicated with a couple of dealers. Got a very good deal. With our first volt we know that we can get 11k in rebates and tax credits. For some people who thinks the price is high for this car. They are wrong. If you qualify for all the incentives and rebates. The price of my 2013 car was lower than the base model Prius by 5k. Plus all the saving in gas from my daily commute and low maintenance. Do your math you will be surprise how much it will cost you at the end and how much you can save in gas.

The Amazing Chevrolet Volt
This car isn't just beautiful and outgoing, but its a great car for familes and for people that have a crave for sporty and nice cars. Chevrolet has really made a heck of a car out of their title, the exterior is just outstanding and the interior is a good size and is also breath taking, even if this car is a tad on the expensive side I would recommend it, its eletrical, its mean, its ready to ride and while you can cruise in comfort the Chevrolet Volt is truly amazing inside and out.

Completely Awesome
This car is completely awesome. It's so smooth and quiet, cheap to operate, and easy to use. On some roads near me, it's like driving on a cloud. I love all the features it has, and I love not paying for gas. After driving this, I don't ever want to go back to a regular gas-powered car.

Spectacular Energy Savings
Bought Volt 'cuz of gas usage by 1978 Volvo (otherwise the best car I've owned). Was getting 19-22 mpg; regular 140 mi wknd round trips were costing $25 each; add in town driving and I was paying $120mo; $150+ during summer travel season. We have hydro and wind power electricity here - compared to gasoline it costs next to nothing - maybe a dollar for a 40 mile charge in the driveway. On the 140 mi RT Saturday I got about 50 mpg on 61 mph cruise control once the initial battery charge was gone. You could watch the screen and watch the Volt repeatedly scavenging up electricity downhills, feeding into battery til 10% charged, then using up the battery to assist the gas engine. Net cost for 130 of the 140 miles (to the gas fill-up on return) was $1.00 initial charge + 1.6 gal x $3.78/gal = $7.05. And the week's in-town driving (under 40 mi/trip) cost next to nothing. Drives like every medium sized Chevy rental car I've ever used. The Volvo driver would've preferred less power steering and a little more road feel. Volt gives plenty of zip when you want it. And as a retired techie and "economic patriot" I feel good about supporting US technical innovation, and driving around in it. I'd have preferred a version w/ a real enclosed trunk rather than a hatch area. For a musician w/ several heat sensitive instruments to protect, the white Volvo w/ enclosed trunk was the gold standard for rejecting solar heating, even when parked for a few hr. I've gotta go to work having a reflective box made to go in the hatch area for summer gig and festival trips. Until that's done and tested, I've got to keep the Volvo as a summer "work truck". Dunno how you can rate reliability on a new car w/ 270 miles on it. Gave it 5 stars but really we'll know that in 5+ years. I'd have preferred a battery warranty of 100% or 90% charge performance rather than weasel words like "for a car of comparable age and mileage". Chevy is getting a lot of US govt subsidy (that's you and me) of their vehicle development in the form of the $7500 purchase rebate on next yr taxes; Chevy could have taken on more of the battery performance risk.

Volt needs more amps!
It's great technology and pride of American auto industry. Beats Prius in its own game. Don't get me wrong, I drove a Prius for 3 years and it. Was great reliable comfortable thrifty transportation. Handling, and looks were very questionable. Unfortunately, volt has its own short comings as well. But it looks better and rides smoother with better handling. However, neither car handles emergency braking like a normal car. Volts biggest problem is small battery capacity which can easily be upgraded by GM and reduce the size of the gas engine and better yet replace it with a 2-3 cyl clean turbo diesel which can drive the other axles as well as charge the batteries. Efficiency with increase dramatically. Hope GM engineers are listening. Also why not have the ability to put all you're music into the car memory? My 2010 335i does that beautifully..

Best Car I've Purchased In 30 Years
There's only one car that ever impressed me this much in 50 years of driving; namely, my 1984 Volvo DL wagon. The Volt is an exceptional vehicle, made here in the USA. Fit & Finish: Perfect! Looks: Sleek, stylish, beautiful in White Diamonds finish! Interior: Rich leather, almost as comfortable as was my 1999 DeVille, futuristic design & controls, drop the rear seats and slide in big boxes from IKEA. Drives and rides like a dream! Have driven 500+ miles so far and burned less than a gallon if gas! Super quiet! Perfect car for folks who drive up to 40 miles daily with the occasional long trip - no range anxiety!

So Far, So Pleased!
I was a bit skeptical about leasing a Volt until my husband & son persuaded me to give it a shot. I've only had it for a few days & I do love it. The fact that I don't have to yell at my husband to cool down the car before I get in is a blessing.LOL. The Volt is very luxurious inside & has similar features as the Prius(dashboard, navigation & cargo space, etc.)I'm excited about not visiting the gas station nearly as often. Mr. Amar & Michael expedited the buying process & even delivered the Volt to our home. They were courteous, professional and respected the fact that we are business professionals & did not have time to sit at a dealership for hours. Thank you for listening, gentlemen.
