I love this car!

I have the R/T V8 350 hp car. It is beautiful and I am very happy I bought it. I noticed some rust on the springs for the front wheels and wondered if anyone else has this. The dealer told me "they all have this," but I'm a little skeptical about that. Daimler Chrysler's only response was "get a second opinion." Not very helpful. But otherwise, wonderful car!

4-doors really can look & feel fun

2007 SXT. 3.5 V-6. 18x7.5" wheels. Looks sharp, rides well, handles OK, but steering too light. Visibility could be better, but maneuvering OK due to square hood & trunk drop-offs. Roomy, except for head. Cruise control stupidly placed. No light in engine or glove compartment equals silly cheap-out. Also needs wheel and gas-cap locks. Boston sound system excellent. Prop-up hood annoying/dangerous. Got 21 overall / 28.5 highway mpg with 89 octane. AutoStick smooth/fun. Hope this is first Dodge with good reliability since the Dart (30 years ago). Adequate power (for adequate people).

Dodge charger R/T, pleanty of power, great looks, good ride (although a bit soft for agressive driving). Great car, would buy again.

First fun practical car I have had in years

My charger is larger than it looks and is deceiving about being a large four door family sedan. The ride is tight enough but also soft enough for long trips in my V8 R/T version. When I test drove the road and track version the seating lost to much head room for me ( 6' 2"). i found the ride to rough for long distance so i stuck with the standard R/T. Fun to drive, responsive and I am very pleased with the premium sound package. No defects or problems, quiet cabin except for low rumble when I punch it. Pretty good mileage for it's size and power. Just a great value.

Love it!

R/T 2006, just love it. So roomy inside. Plenty of room in the back for my 6'1 sons. We comfortably fit 5. Upgraded stereo mp3 6 disc, awesome. Have taken several long trips, and just a dream to drive, handles any speed with ease, the gas mileage very good considering the size of engine, amazing 25 mpg on highway, 22 avg city. Lots of power, very responsive. Would not waste time with the smaller engines, if you want a charger, get it equipped!

Beware the "SE"!

I was excited to get a 2006 Charger as a rental in Hawaii recently. We had two weeks to get to know this hunky new version of the classic marque. Strike-#1. The base (SE) interior is made of the same material as Rubbermade totes and has about as much style as......one would expect if there was a generic car. Great expanses of cheap hard plastic with the addition of a chrome bezel around the shifter and chrome door handle pulls, very out of place. Strike#2. The SE model gives you the 2.7L V6, not the 3.5L as is stated on cars.com. This motor was fine in the Sebring or Stratus but the Charger is BIG and this puny V6 is downright stretched to the max. Dont take it to a high altitude, our car would not climb the road above 10,100 feet up Mauna Kea. Also expect abrupt downshifts if you need extra power- surprise, this motor has no upper end torque so you wont get a punch. Strike#3. Instrumentation- the black n white primary guages are great, everything else, not so much. The high beam indicator is so low that it is covered by the steering wheel spoke so if you are driving anything other than straight ahead, you cant tell if you have the high beams on. The ODO and trip ODO look like they were lifted from a mid 80s electronic Chrysler product. The multi-function stalk has so many functions that it becomes very cumbersome, for some reason they didnt want a stalk on the right so all functions are combined, its downright silly. The car looks good and I am sure that with the upgraded trim both in and out it would be much better, not to mention the bigger engines.

great....this is my third dodge

lots of stuff now standard that use to be optional..the auto stick is great and the super smooth shifts of the transmission is unreal...the all stability program is a great idea...it has the longest wheel base in its class and you can tell when you drive it...the interior is driver friendly and easy to access and use...standard abs and a dual boost braking system is great...the boston sound (six speakers) is just out standing..very smooth on the road and in turns it is rock solid. this is a well engineered auto...dodge did a great job in the design and the functional operation is outstanding. well worth the money spent....GREAT DODGE...I HAVE THE SXT MODEL.
