Solid, Best High Performance AWD Muscle Car!!

I have owned, worked on, and raced many vehicles in my lifetime and some I will never forget, and some I wished I had never stepped into! This 2014 Dodge Charger R/T AWD is THE BEST AWD muscle car that I've ever owned or driven! The ride is just perfect, smooth when your not getting on it, but nice and firm/stiff when you are getting on it and in certain turns. I had purchased the fully loaded version including: exclusive Beats By Dre 10 speaker premium system with an 8" Sub in the trunk, which is one of the best sounding stock systems that I have come across (with the obvious exceptions of the Harmon or Bose systems in the higher end luxury vehicles,) Heated seats (including the rear,) Heated and Cooled....CUPHOLDERS!! I know...right? Also, the UConnect 8.4" touchscreen, Full leather interior including multi-adjustable front seats with lumbar support...etc...The performance of this muscle car is amazing with the 5.7 liter 345c.i. Hemi V8 putting out 370 AWDHP, mated with a 5 speed auto w/manual mode. When in Manual mode, the car really perks up and before you blink, you are at 70 mph! ECO mode or "MDS" (Multi-Displacement System) is perfect for when you are just crusing around or stuck in traffic as it engages only 4 of the 8 cylinders, putting MPG at a higher order. I live in Colorado, and our snow/ice can at times, be treacherous and though we have had a mild winter thus far, I have had the opportunity to drive this car to stretch the limits in the in-climate weather, and coupled with really solid All Season tires or Winter Tires (which are the best and highly recommended) this Charger R/T is greatly matched with any AWD vehicle on the market! This Charger got me anywhere I need to go and kept traction most of the time with very limited if any, issues. The overall look of this vehicle is what got me to the Charger and not the big sister the Challenger! I absolutely Love the stoutly/beefy yet sleek and sophisticated look! The Charger R/T demands respect and to get out of the way! So, if you are in the market for a strong, reliable AWD car to get you from point A-B...Fast, then look no further than the Dodge line of AWD Muscle Cars!

A great combination of power, styling, and MPG

I purchased a 2014 Charger SXT in Jazz Pearl Blue in 2015 as a certified pre-owned and it has been a very good car to own over the past few years. Its V6 engine has great power for such a heavy car and it gets good MPG (avg 27) with mainly highway driving thanks to the 8 speed auto transmission. The SXT trim has power everything, a great stereo (Alpine), 8.4" touchscreen, remote start, keyless entry & push to start, tons of room in the back seat for passengers, and a decent amount of cargo room. Reliability has been very high. The only major issues I've had have been the front shocks going out at 20k (factory warranty covered), numerous software updates, and recalls. Maintenance hasn't been too expensive so far. This car can still turn heads and is very aggressively styled. The rear of the car features full wrap around LED running lights and is very distinguishable at night. The biggest drawback in my opinion is its RWD performance in the snow which is why I'm now looking for a different car. I had to get snow tires, which improved its traction greatly. An AWD option is available but its MPG is awful. I have also had issues with UConnect not displaying my album artwork from my iPod and not doing basic functions (shuffle, skip ahead, etc). Nothing (software updates, calls to customer support, etc) has corrected this issue and its extremely frustrating. The paint also scratches like it's nobody's business. Also, driving it in very tight spaces like a parking garage can be a bit of a headache as the car is a true large sedan and feels like you're diving an aircraft carrier at times. Overall, I would possibly consider purchasing another Charger in the future provided that they fix the UConnect issues and also offer a cylinder deactivation fuel saving feature on a AWD drivetrain. I would love to see a manual transmission option as well. Also, a 2 door coupe option would drive the old school Charger fans insane and there would be lines out the door at dealerships. (you paying attention yet, Dodge engineers?!?)
