Disappointed

This car is roomy enough for my family but I'm concerned about the safety of the sliding door. One door is stuck shut I cant open it with the button or fob and you cant manually open. I googled this and see a lot of people have this problem. I've only had my car a year so why is this happening

Love this van!

Car is perfect for my family of 7. 2 in car seats and 2 teenagers! Plenty of leg room easy to navigate in plenty of storage space especially love that I can still use the trunk! Gas mileage could be better but wouldn’t trade it for anything else!

Dodge can still have fun

The Grand Caravan is a great option for people who want an aggressive looking minivan. Dodge knows how to have fun. The V6 has peppy performance off the line. The cargo area is very versatile. Seats are firm, but offer enough support and comfort for shorter hauls. The vans down fall is electrical. Most issues with the car stem from electrical issues which have strange effects. Whether it’s faulty airbag lights, interior lights, doors that make odd sounds closing, etc.

Room for grandkids

I have a ford windstar and was looking for a new used van. Since ford doesn't make a van anymore with fold down seats, We had to go with a Dodge. We have always had fords but, I really like the room and the store and go seats. The only thing is it is hard to find one without the interior black.

The electronic parts are the weakest link.

When the van is working 100% it's a joy to drive. It's built for comfort, not for speed. It's the little things that fail that make it not such a joy to own. The electronics seem especially prone to failure. You will find yourself troubleshooting strange issues from time to time or dropping it off at the dealer and throwing your hands up in the air and accepting this as the price of owning a Chrysler product. They are *quite* comfortable, like a rolling breakroom. I own them for that reason but understand that they sometimes develop the strangest, unexplainable issues. Most aren't show stopping, and your tolerance for dealing with a strange noise coming from the engine compartment or a light that just won't turn off for some reason will greatly affect your enjoyment of this vehicle. I love 'em, but I've become pretty good at troubleshooting them over the years. When they are well maintained, they are just a great, comfortable transporter. People and cargo. Nobody hates sitting in a Chrysler van and they have enough available room to move nearly anything. I recommend them, but it helps if you have some idea of what you're getting into.

After Warranty problems left and right

It was perfect until I hit 60k miles, it left me stranded twice because the transmission went twice. First they only replaced what broke the 2nd time put in a whole new transmission. After that the DVD screen went, the sliding doors got stuck in the lock position, the air conditioner blower motor went. Loved the van before but now I dont have full trust in it anymore, unfortunately because of the extended warranty (yes it save me loads of times) but now I owe 20k and it's worth 10k. So I'm stuck in it, hopefully it doesnt leave me stranded again, now out of all warranty I will not be able to afford repairs :(

Great for people without children.

Over all this vehicle is okay... As a mother of 4 children this vehicle has some strong issues. Major one being when reversing or switching lanes the bucket seat head rest restricts 80% of view from the rear right window. Also major carseat issues. Children outside of car seats & boosters can't safely ride the the far rear seats because of where the belt adjuster sits in the window & is not adjustable. Causes the belt to set 2 inches off of the child's shoulder which in an accident would cause the child to fling forward before touching the belt. Because of this flaw my 2 younger children must ride in the far rear which makes me have to fold & flip the front bucket seat each time I load the smaller kids into the back. Also also, due to the heat rests being unable to be removed & with the awkward curve in them you have to be careful with which carseats can be placed. Most do not fit under the curve and result an unsafe carseat installation. I purchased this van with out Knowing these issues, I was lucky enough to find a safe seating arrangement for the children but this will not work long term. The plan is to pay this off as quickly as possible & get something else- more long term.

best vehicle for me

This vehicle is very versatile. No matter what I am carrying, people or shopping it can always be arranged to hold what I need. I have even moved a eliptical machine in it.

Not fancy but great van for the price

I loved everything about my Dodge grand Caravan. It was a comfortable and reliable vehicle. Not many premium features, but that Is not important to me. Easy to haul stuff or the family. Would but this van again.

Shifts odd but runs and rides perfect.

My wife and I use it for us only, we have 2 others we drive daily. Drive it under 5k a year. We’re 60. Unbelievable gas mileage between 27-30 highway, 15-17 in town(it doesn’t get out of third gear, speed limit in my town is 25, and we do it or get tickets). It’s our nice car still smells new. Looks kinda bad and yes it does fly and sounds tough when floored running through the gears.
