Dodge caravan so enjoyable to drive feels like I am just gliding along 22- thousand miles when purchased new to me feel very blessed .to have found it previous vehicle was HHR chevy so there is quite a difference in size definetily taking time to adjusting in backing up and even getting into 80 years old and body not as flexible as used to be

I have owned it for only 3 weeks.

Most versatile vehicle on the road. It can be a people hauler , cargo hauler, job hauler. It has very good engine power. Fuel consumption seems good for a new vehicle.

Great van.

Own the gt. Have faulty latch issue on liftgate. Otherwise great van. Kids love it. Use it for work. Powerful. Heated captain chairs. Having stow away seats is nice. In general more access to mechanical operations like liftgate, seat adjustment etc would be useful. Again faulty latch. Cant even use it without electronic motor.

Best value for what you pay

I bought the van because it fit my needs and budget. I need room for my tools. It keeps tools and materials dry. I can fit a full sheet of drywall in the Dodge caravan. It drives smooth and comfortable.

don't believe the negative reviews!

Both my wife and I love this van. Show me a better vehicle with an out the door price of $23,000 CAD ($18,400 US) taxes included. The only thing we regret is the lack of a spare tire and a transmission dipstick. Also not a big fan of the key fob. In combined city/highway driving we are averaging 23 miles per US gallon (not 17 mpg like in Consumer Report) I would have to drive in first gear and spin the tires at every stop to get 17 mpg. I have owned vehicles that cost more than 2X the Grand Caravan, (loaded Jeep Rubicon and Chevy Avalanche) so the handling, acceleration and gas mileage are a pleasant surprise.

Familymobile!

This is the second vehicle we always wanted. It?s perfect for short and long road trips with 2 or more kids. The nav system makes getting around anywhere easier. The stow n go seats and DVD system also help a lot with moving the family around!

So much space for my family....

This car exceeded my expectations even as the base model....I test drove another vehicle and it just was not the same.....I'm so glad I made this decision...

Good buy for the dollar.... Worth buying...

Had 4 x previous mini-vans in my past and I'm not brand loyal. Thus, I don't have bias feedback like some folks. Bought my 5th mini-van (2017 DGC SXT / base build) last Sept 2017 with minimum options. For my Special Needs son, I purposely bought with tinted windows, manual sliding doors, 2ndrow bucket seats, manual rear lift hatch, factory remote start (to pre-warm insides for my son) without factory trailering (which is way over priced), without factory GPS (which is way over priced) and without factory backup camera (which is way over priced). I wanted near base build to keep its buying costs low and less "electronic stuff" means less risk of possible future problems. Since buying, I installed my own backup camera (at fraction of factory cost), installed my own dash mounted GPS (at fraction of factory cost) and installed my own Timbrens (to improve "too soft" factory rear suspension). If wondering, Timbren SES items are like air bags without air inside them. Thus, no airing up / airing down and/or worry about air leaks. Also installed my own Class III hitch and electronic brake controller (inertia technology type) as well. Love the 2017DGC's physical size, love its looks and love its 3.6L engine with 6-spd auto (with manual usage ability). It's comfortable to drive, has lots of glass to "see around it" and for a mini-van of this physical this size, it has acceptable MPGs. Wish it was better MPGs (perhaps the improved 3.6L engine will be better?). Negatives: IMO, its factory H11 halogen low beam bulbs are "too dim" for my dark country roads. Had to install better H11 LED low beam bulbs. Left high beam H11 halogen bulbs as factory. For my needs, I fold down its 3rd row seats - that are level with the floor surface. Haven't needed to fold down its 2nd row seats. Overall, I'd give my 2017 DGC SXT vehicle a 9.6/10. Not perfect (some of my previous mini-vans had some better things) but overall, its a great vehicle for inner cargo hauling usage, Towing trailers under 3,000 lbs towing (even though it has max 3,600 lbs towing) and overall great family "long haul" traveling vehicle. Good buy for its purchase dollars and usage costs (for a mini-van).... Do recommend to others...
