NOT a HAPPY CAMPER

I bought my Notro as we now call it on Nov 11th. On Nov 13th it was back at the dealership for an A/C drain line flooding the passenger side floor. I got it back on Nov 17th and it was back at the dealership by the 30th for the same problem. I was told by the service person that it was residule water that had worked its way out of the padding. No I watched it drip out of the joint for the duct that runs behind the center console and run down the tunnel. While it was there the computer was re-programed for a hesitation problem it was having in traffic. On Dec 7th I got it back dry and re-programed. Then i noticed some dealership induced problems. There is now a dent in the drivers side door sill and the power outlet at the rear of the center console is now inop. This has been the worst car puchase I've ever made.

Nitro by Nitroboy

I have had the Nitro for about a month and have really enjoyed it. I had several comments and questions about it. I have found no flaws with the exterior and all the features work. The Nitro is a SLT 4x2. I found the sticker price very appealing for all the features and v6.

Just purchased.

Not quite happy with the back fender flared wheel wells. They seem to be lose. Does anyone else have this problem?

Fun to Drive

I love this car! So far, I only have 500 miles on it, but am very happy so far. I especially like the seat comfort, though I've read some don't like the firmness.

never thought...

I'd own one Dodge never mind two - my wife's Grand caravan and the Nitro R/T. It's big, very red, and comes with 20" chrome wheels and tons of attitude.

A step up from the car I traded in..

I traded in a sports car for this beauty. I have not seen another car on the road that looks like this one. Dodge did a great job; I love the cargo space, handling and the overall driving experience. The only thing I don't like is that you can not adjust the driver's seat up or down.

Very Disappointed With Seats

With the power adjustable driver's seat, I (as the driver) could probably live with the high belt line. With no provision for height adjustment (oweing to the "fold flat" feature on the front passenger seat) though, my wife felt as if she was down in a hole. The real killer for both of us, though, was the head-rests. Why in the world are they cocked forward at such a sharp angle? We both had "cricks" in our necks before we had driven a mile. Very, very disappointed.

A big step forward for Dodge

Although based on the Jeep Liberty, the Nitro has it's own personna with all-new sheet metal, a longer wheelbase, more cargo capacity, a whole bunch of nifty interior features not normally available at this price level, and a very distinctive look that is unlike anything else on the road. The Nitro is available in 3 trim levels with the top-of-the-line RT featuring the new 4.0L V-6. The standard 3.7L is a proven performer with decent fuel economy if not awe inspiring acceleration. Certainly enought to get you down the road and back with good passing lane power and smooth cruising. The "Load n' Go" rear cargo area makes loading and unloading easier on the back and the extra room vs. the Liberty is welcome indeed. All in all, an excellent additon to the line-up!
