1999 Dodge Ram 1500 consumer reviews

My nieghbor was retired dodge mechanic. Went all over teuck at 113000 miles. Put the plentum gasket on. Everything new. New fluid and adjusted bands in tranny which is important. I love truck. Put the steering bar on frame tightened up front steering. What a difference highly recommend.

Bought the truck from a junk yard 5 years ago for $2400.00. Worked like a champ. 260k mile now and decided to keep it for another 10 years so I replaced the engine and tranny, serviced the rear and put on new front suspention. They just don't build trucks like this anymore. Easy to fix, works hard(I pull 35' boats all day) and it lasts. When I pulled the engine and the bed to inspect, the frame and components are still in great shape with little rust. With new trucks running 45k, the 7k I just spent was well worth it.

it is a good truck. i really like it . i have had it for a little over 5 years now. i really like the room of the four door truck.

I really really need this truck. This is the best truck I have drove that is in this year range. I am going to tell everyone of my friends about this truck.

This is the 3rd Ram I've owned and the first 1500. I needed a good reliable used truck and this Ram has not only met those needs, it exceeds it. Comfortable, smooth ride, COLD a/c, more than enough power and capacity to haul any weekend projects I need to tackle! Most of all, like my last 2 Dodge pickups, RELIABLE! Need a truck? Get a RAM!

Good work truck. 4 wheel drive has always worked. Been reliable as long as I've owned it. Tranny lost reverse 2 years ago but all forward gears still work. Truck isn't worth replacing the tranny so I dont.

We figured it up and this truck gets 9 miles to the gallon on the highway. The rust has really started to eat away at it. Especially in the floor boards and cab corners. It definitely has enough power, and you would have to try very hard to get it stuck. The transmission never went out, but sometimes you have to feather the gas to get it to drop into gear.

Everything needed to be replaced. So i did. Runs like a million bucks just cost me 15000 dollars. Dash falls apart. Had to put new dash cover. Seat cushions are a problem too on this thing. They will need to be replaced yearly.
