piece of junk its falling apart.too many things are breaking.doors rattle,eats tires,exhaust leaks,radiator failed

I have 2 Dodge Ram 1500's and love them both. It's very roomy and comfortable. As long as the necessary typical maintenance is done when needed, you won't have any problems. I have one with over 200,000 miles on it and haven't had any problems with it. I was so impressed, I chose to buy another one for my son. Trust me, I am a very picky parent and will only allow him to drive a very safe vehicle. Great truck!! My husband also has one for work and has the same experience!

This has been a great ride for the first 75,00 miles. Unfortunately had to replace ball joints and rack and pinion steering system at 78,000. Around $1300.00 This is a commmon problem with Dodge and should be addressed by the company. Search the internet for complaints on rack and pinion and ball joints, you will see some startling and similar failures.

Maintenance costs are high, 30K spark plugs(16) along with transmission, front and rear end service. Brake upgrade is needed, but the ride is very good on this 4X4 shoert wheel base truck. Overall, a good value

Brake system seems to have alot of problems. They have locked up 2 times now, seems as the emergency break is what causes this problem.

I have about 45,000 on my 2004 Ram 2500. It has the diesel and I've added a Banks tuner, exhaust and intake. With the tuner in the maximum power setting, it will set you back on your ear. On the economy setting, it will get up to 24 MPG on the highway. City mileage is about 14. I am 6'4", 270 pounds and the seats are extremely comfortable. At 63 years old, I plan on this being the last truck I ever buy.

The truck I have is still under warranty its been in the shop for almost a month and I am repeatedly told the part will be in next Thursday, which seems to be the standard answer but the elusive part never arrives. The Dash Warning Lights all flash on and stay on, they don't seem to understand what it is wrong.

this is a great truck except i wish it got better mpg. it is great with comfort, the sound of the engine is amazing, it is a quiet ride. the stereo sounds great. the turning is amazing for it being a truck

I have the 5.7L hemi, hasn't given me any problems yet with 57k. Traction is not that great when the roads are wet, suspension is a little tough for comfort. Overall pleased with the truck.

poor stability when rounding corners, excessive fuel consumption, limited visability when backing, on the other hand , has been pretty reliable
