Don't Buy

Won't fix problems that are covered under warranty. Interior cheap and falls apart quickly for no reason.

2500 with the Cummins

With the cummmins this is a fantastic, reliable truck that hauls anything and gets reasonable highway MPG vs a comparable gas truck. Longevity and durability are good. The interior is simple but very usable. Seats are not as comfortable as the Chevy but this is a great truck.

First Dodge truck owned

Overall am satisfied with the 1500 except for wind noise which is very loud. The Goodyear tires standard with this truck are not a good value.

New to the Dodge line

I have had my Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Mega Cab 5.7 HEMI for a few months now and love it! I only downer is the gas mileage. I am only getting 11.6, and with increasing gas prices, it hurts in the wallet! The interior is spacious and has a great overall feel. I test drove the F-150 and for the price, Dodge offers alot more standard options than Ford.

Solid, well designed, bad gas mileage, very rough

I drove a RAM 2500 for approx. 10000 km for work, it was very rough riding to the point where it bounced around on pavement when I hit bumps, was even more scary on gravel roads. The fuel mileage was horrendous approx. 10-12. Lots of power from the 5.7 Hemi, nice interior design.

Mediocre at best

I have owned my Ram 2x4 3.7V6 for 10 months and it has been one problem after another, don't get me wrong, I love the truck. I just don't like the Neon I get to drive once a month because of the truck. So far It has been in the shop twice for electrical problems, once for transmission, and once for an oil leak. On the other end, it tows pretty well for a V6 and does pretty good off-road for a 2WD, But it love to do 360s in the rain, in the middle of the road. I guess it does what i need it to, but thats all it does, definitely not an "Above and beyond" truck.

Great truck

Nice truck have the bucket seats 5.7 Hemi QC 4x4 14 mpg city 18.5 highway. Have had new 92, 00, 05, Ford F-150's 84, 88, Chevy 1/2 tons The 2007 Ram 1500 gets better milage then the 4.6 05 4x4 F-150 12 city 16 highway. I would recommend the 1500 Ram 5.7.

2007 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 4x4 Hemi

I've always been a "truck" guy, and have owned plenty, including Chevy's, Ford's, Dodge, Toyota, and Nissan. One drive in this truck, and I was sold. It just got better as I found that I am getting 18mpg with this very large 4x4 truck with a very powerful engine! :) In the looks dept., nothing compares. The truck also sits nice and tall, the way I like it. The handling and ride are great. Not car like, but I didn't buy a car! The 20" wheels look awesome, but will be very expense when it's time for new tires. I also got the lifetime powertrain warranty. On top of all that, with the current incentives, it was a real bargain, in my opinion. I'm a happy camper!

reliable "powerful" truck

I traded my 05, 2500 ram 5.7 cummins for an 07 ram new cummins manual trans, it has more power and runs smoother with the 6 speed/OD. With the cleaner feul and engine, it's nice not leaving a black cloud when I floor it. I looked at GMC/Ford...but the reliability of the cummins engine won out... "again".

1st time Dodge Truck Owner

The new 6.7L Cummins engine is awesome. I drove the '08 Super Duty F-250, and although that vehicle surpassed the Dodge in overall appeal and interior quality. However, Ford want $50K+ for that truck. Needless to say I purchased the Dodge for a muck more attractive price.
