2009 Ford Crown Victoria consumer reviews

I bought this for commuting lots of highway miles after going through 3 used cars in about a 3 1/2 year period. I needed something built to last and found my P71 Interceptor on a dealer lot. It was well cared for as a former Sheriff's supervisor unit, no leaks, no damage, everything works. The 4.6L V8 may not be a race engine but combined with the Police transmission and rear end, it makes for a solid reliable vehicle. I'm able to do most maintenance myself and it hasn't needed much more than the basics. I'm up to 150,000 miles and it's still a highway star.

Easy to fix simple repairs, and really fun to drive on the highway. You'll notice lanes open up a lot more than normal when driving this car. Does decent on gas for having a V-8.

This car met all of my needs. It's fun driving and never had any problem with it. It's reliable and does it job traveling places. I'm real happy with the crown vic,but we need to sell it to bills. Well maintenance too.

I have owned and driven this car for a little over two months. Very reliable and just a good looking car. Fantastic tint on the glass. Car almost appears to change colors with the light.

This car is good to have. Lots of storage and legroom. On of the most reliable vehicles I’ve owned. I bought it at an auction as the owner after the government and put 15000 miles on it. Drove it to Washington state and back no problems. The car has good service history on the car fax when it was active and recently inspected by ford as in great condition. No big services needed.

I bought this car for $2400 in 2017 and I had to swap the transmission and catalytic converter which overall was probably another $1000. Since then it’s caused zero problems and I just drove it from Indiana to California and then up to Montana without any issues at all, 30,000 miles later

I own the P71: the police interceptor package. Pro: Very reliable. Enough power, and decent fuel economy. The engine is without a doubt the selling point of the car. Con: Everything else is fiercely mediocre: The car is a little too loud on the freeway. The power steering works, but is not nimble. The door weather striping is, in several places, separating itself from the vehicle. The dashboard has warped from the summer heat. This car is what happens when hundreds of engineers get together and say "ah, good enough".

This car is my daily driver to and from work which is a 60-mile round-trip and have never had any problems. Most reliable solid vehicle ever made!

I love this car. I picked an old police cruiser up at auction for $1800. While the whole car seems to be struggling and failing and I have to put in regular maintenance to keep it running, I couldn't be happier for what the car is worth.

Great deal. Very reliable. Awesome power and handling. The price was $4,400 but I sold it for $3,600. I did not really want to sell this vehicle but I bought a 4x4 Tahoe! Off-Roading time!!
