Love my edge

I love my edge. I have had it for only a few months but it rides smooth like a Cadillac. The fuel mileage could b better

Ford flawed engine block

Bought 2018 Edge, used 4 yrs past with 17000 milage, now just hit 50007. July '23, engine light comes on, which sent me the repair shop I frequent, only to find out that the engine block is leaking coolant from a known flaw by Ford. Warranty is past and no recalls, so the cost I absorb and no accountability by Ford. If interested in this SUV make sure the original engine has been replaced with a new one, not rebuilt.

Edge’s Recall

Although I purchased my Edge used in 2019, it has given me one issue, but Good news! When I took my car to Ford’s dealership to repair, I learnt it was covered completely due to a recalled. The only thing they didn’t do was a “complimentary car wash, that I’m used to having. Nevertheless, the service was taken care of in a timely manner. In spite of one worst winter storm in the South.

2016 Ford Edge SEL

Great car easy to get in and out of. Nice responsive handling. Handles well in the snow. Only complaint so far is the blue tooth kicks me off frequently when paired up.

Buy something different.

Car has 103 000 miles and needs a new engine. Brought the car to dealer because I started hearing a nocking noise after started the car. Checking engine shows. The mechanic from dealer said it has a crack on cylinder one. Cost for new engine and labor $8000. The mechanic told me the engine in this cars are poor made.

2016 FORD EDGE TRANSMISSION TOAST ALREADY

My 2016 Ford Edge transmission is toast and needs a total replacement. 7,000 when is the last time anybody had to replace a transmission that is only six years old. I am a single mom and still have it in lease owing 11,000 and now I have to put out 7,000 cash to put a transmission in it. So upsetting. It had a small leak and I put transmission oil in it and then it wouldn’t go over 27 mph and the auto repair said it was toast need a new own. My lease warranty was good for three years it’s been 2-1/2 and they said I was 6100 miles over the 45,000 mile mark for the warranty. So I don’t even know how I am going to come up with the money let alone get to work every day h til it’s fixed but I rented a rental this first week that was 400 and some so frustrated and upset.

Poor electrical system

My Ford Edge has major electrical problems. The battery has died five times in the last three months. I purchased a brand new battery at the dealership three weeks ago, and this morning the battery is dead. The dealer service dept states they cannot find the problem. This is the last Ford I will own.

First SUV I’ve ever owned

I own a 2016 Ford edge. This is the first SUV I have ever owned. The features I love most about it or SYNC, the V6 Ecoboost engine, and the smoothness of the drive. The Ford Edge also does a great job in snow and rain. The only cons for me or the interior which seems plain for the price I paid for it.
