Rolling in an EDGE
Pros: Synch 3, baby. Ford has got the technology down pat. It's slick and to borrow the most overused word in the lingo, "intuitive". Styling in and out: Ford figured out how to make the boring mid size SUV class produce a winner. I see them all over the road and the models after 2014 look sharp and cut a great profile from front and back. Hauling: If I'm not mistaken, The Edge provides the best interior size among 2 row SUVs. If you don't want to move up to an Explorer, this may be the car for you. Cons: The 4 cylynder ecoboost Turbo is on the edge of greatness. That turbo takes a second to blast off but is a decent choice when considering fuel economy. The responsiveness is almost on point but at the end of the day, it'll hammer out an exit ramp with little worries.

A lot of car for the money.
This is my second Edge that I have owned and it is a very nice suv. The only gripe that I have is the that my old 2011 Edge had the My Ford Touch system. This was terrible. My new 2016 Edge was to have a better system. It does not. I would prefer to have Android Auto which it is supposed to get via a software update but they have not done that yet. I'm waiting for it.

So far great
I am a new owner of a Ford Edge SEL. I find it very comfortable and easy to drive. I chose the Eco Boost 4 rather than the V6. Eco Boost has good power and better gas milage.

Luxury Interior sold me....
I bought my new white 2016 Titanium Edge on the last week of December, 2016. I sadly traded my '09 Honda Pilot because I felt like it was too big to drive around all day for my job. The Edge just felt like the right size. I was very hesitant to buy a Ford, but after over a year of researching BMW, Acura, Lexus, Honda, and Nissan, and seeing one up close at the Texas State Fair, I thought it was perfect for me. I have the 301A equipment group with ceramic leather interior, cooled front seats, panoramic sunroof, and all sorts of other stuff. The interior is just fantastic! The leather is beautiful, and soft; the seats are very comfortable. I keep it super clean, so it feels like a million bucks every time I get it. The ride of this car is remarkably smooth and quiet. For such a big vehicle, the steering is tight in corners and feels very nimble. It's really easy to park, and the backup camera is amazing. It can "see" objects moving toward the car from pretty far away. I wish I had gotten the front camera, too. A few negatives would be the gas mileage. I have the V6 model, and I average about 21 mpg. My driving is almost all miserable city driving. The engine does have super pickup and really moves when I need it to. I thought the brakes were super "grabby" when I first got the car but I have gotten used to them and now they are fine. Another complaint is leg room for the driver. I'm 5'11", and I have my seat back as far as it will go. I am comfortable, but sometimes I wish I could really stretch my legs out. A few other nitpicky things would be the lack of a tray or little cubby to lay my sunglasses or a ketchup packet. The center console is DEEP and can hold a ton of stuff, so I just have to put everything down in there. Good because it holds so much, bad because you have to sift through it. I noticed a few rattles and noisy vibrations when I drove it on a certain type of chip-and-seal pavement in the country. I mean those noises made me wish I hadn't bought the car. However, when it's driven on normal paved or even dirt roads, it has to be one of the quietest cars being sold. I don't really like the Sony audio system either. I think most people would love it, but I am a classical musician, and I need to turn the volume up considerably for some quiet pieces of music. However, this Sony system doesn't crank up loud enough, and worse, the bass is just too present. The equalizer can't eliminate enough of the bass; it's frustrating. The infotainment system (Sync 3) is really good. I was so excited to get Sirius XM traffic and weather! However, the traffic app doesn't work, and after many contacts with Sirius and Ford, I have gotten no help. Everything else works fine including accurate radar images of current weather, fantastic GPS/navigation, and even sports scores. The car also has a USB port, and I put in a 128 GB thumb drive containing MP3s of almost every CD or LP I own. I can listen to anything in this car! Auto lift gate is THE BEST! You just have to be careful not to have it come down on your head. Freezing cold A/C, fabulous rush of cold air in cooled seating, and super fast push button ignition. I don't love-love the exterior like a BMW X5, but everybody tells me it looks great, so I guess I'll believe them. The 20"wheels are beautiful, and with the panoromic sunroof, my white edge has a black roof. The exterior lighting is really cool- it reminds me of the starship Enterprise all lit up ready to fly away....and the colored ambient interior lighting is really fun at night. Really, this Edge looks beautiful sitting in the garage at night. This is a great product and I'm not sorry I purchased it.
