Purchased in 2000 for work.

Purchased in 2000 for work. I’m a hospice nurse & was killing our family car as much as I was on the road. Needed 4WD since rural driveways & roads can be challenging. Other than the normal repairs on a 20 yr old truck, this is the most reliable truck, new & used, I’ve ever owned. I wouldn’t trade it for anything on the market & plan on handing it down to my 2 yr old grandson when it’s time.

One of the 1st vehicles i’ve driven.

One of the 1st vehicles i’ve driven. I like how i can see out of this truck well and all the storage compartments and how roomy it is! Definitely has a decent amount of power to get you out of situations and sits well up off the ground. Wish it had better gas milage, but it’s a good truck for places that don’t have terrible weather. I will say I almost flipped this truck pulling out when it was raining really hard, so be careful about losing traction.

I was pleased with the low miles

I am pleased with the low miles for the age of he truck. I liked the color and looks of the the truck and I have been searching for a couple weeks and nothing was as good as the truck I purchased.

Best midsize truck I’ll ever own

2 1/2 in exhaust, cold air intake, jet performance chip, air bags, throttle body spacer, new paint job with two 11 1/2 in stripes (red and white) on a blue body. I’m keeping mine

Mom Tested, Mom (Somewhat) Approved

The 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac is, I would say, a very decent vehicle. It has the properties of a truck and of an SUV. My mom actually test drove this truck/SUV and she liked it for the most part. She didn't like the low gas mileage and somewhat high price of the vehicle but otherwise, she approves of this truck/SUV.

Explorer

This vehicle is very comfortable, it has a lot of extras, sunroof, rear sliding window etc. The exterior is immaculate for the year. It drives nice, and I am planning a Road trip already.

Good enough

It's not fast. It's not terribly capable. Toddlers have bigger beds. It likes gas and parts. But overall, it runs decent. The 4x4 works as well as it's supposed to, but with the ground clearance of this thing it's certinly not a desert buggy. The motor is underpowered for the truck, but runs every time I need it to.
