I love my 04 F250 diesel truck......Kids are all grown and moved away so we sold all our sand toys and trailer and decided to down size our truck to a smaller Ford!!

Great all around truck

To those on here complaing about the 6.0L Diesel let me ask this. Have you taken care of the truck? Mine is a 2004 F250 with 76k mi on it and It runs great. I use it to pull our 10,000LB 36' Camper and haven't had any major issues with it and it pulls it with ease. Keep the oil changed and the coolant clean and you can avoid many of the common 6.0L problems.

6.0l Powerstrock 03 & 04 NOT GOOD

do NOT Buy 2003 and/or 2004 Ford powerstrock that was 2 bad year for Ford. You can find more information online. Now if you were to find a 05, 06, 07 ^ Those are fine trucks. I own a 2007 F-250 6.0L and it runs good

They got it right.

The 2004 Ford Diesel is an amazing truck. Plenty of power to work all day and comfortable enough to drive cross country. Over the past 5 years I've had no difficulty with any aspect of the truck. I highly recommend and would be very comfortable with buying another.

Design Defects

This vehicle apparently suffers from a major design defect. A quick internet search will reveal that thousands of these ford engines have suffered from spark plug blowout. Simply put, the spark plugs are blowing out of the cylinders and stripping the treads of the cylinder, not the sparkplug. This repair is several thousand dollars and Ford has refused to cover this problem under its warranty and has not issued a recall due to the incredible volume of affected vehicles and extraordinary expense. While I have obtained the foregoing information through internet searches, I have had the same problem with my 2004 F250. 2 of my mechanics have said this is a major problem that they have seen all to regularly

F-250 XLT FX4

I bought this vehicle used w- 23K miles. It has plenty of power with or without a trailer. I've driven across country a few times and only had one issue with the Turbo. It was covered by Ford and no issues since then. I'd tell anyone to get one. It is a great truck.

Not a Single Problem!

We love our Ford! It runs great, rides smooth and is very roomie. We can fit adults & children in the back seat very easily. I recommend this truck to anyone interested! The only change I would recommend is more give to the seats, and you might find that with leather interior I am not sure.
