Best truck I have owned

The best purchase so far. It meets and exceeds all I need it to do. The only issues I have had is the APIM and starter having to be replaced. But Ford replaced them under warranty.

Im a Ford girl and I love my 2019 Superduty but…

I got my crew cab 2019 F250 XLT with the 6.2L for 37k in 2020 with 22k miles on it. I’ve put 25k miles on it in two years and It’s been ok, the cab is very spacious, first thing people say when they open the back doors is “this thing is a limo!” And trust me it’s the best thing for moving. I love the fold up backseats, it’s just that much more cargo space. Mine also has the pop up organizer under the seat which is perfect for grocery shopping, and keeping tools from rolling around. She’s pretty quick for her size too which I enjoy, I’ve had no running issues yet but honestly I’m not impressed with its Towing capabilities. I had my older 7200lb superduty on a trailer and the 2019 seemed to have a hard time figuring out what gear it wanted to be in even with tow mode on while doing 30-40mph. Between that, the heat shield breaking drive shafts recall, and the death wobble I’m sad to say I’m a bit scared of how reliable this thing will be in the long term. I have mine on the list for a new steering dampener to fix it’s death wobble but parts are back ordered “could be 2 weeks or 6 months” the dealership told me. Luckily Ford will cover it cuz it’s a widespread known issue tho. I love the ride and the space, but the mpg is killing me at 15mpg when my 2000 f250 also gets 12-15! 19 years of improvements for the same fuel mileage? Kind of pathetic! My 2000 is just a better truck even with the smaller 5.4L. when it comes to hauling, towing and yanking trees out of the ground the old girl takes the cake!

I'd buy it again!

Mine is an F250 Lariat (+Lariat value package) Diesel 4x2 ordered in August 2019 and picked up in Oct 2019 and currently has just over 29,000 miles. Mileage is ~19 MPG @ 70MPH not towing and with a Roll n Lock bed cover. I read these other reviews and am somewhat stunned by all the recall complaints. I had one: for wiring under the driver’s seat. Maybe it was the 4x4 models or those with all the super-duper interior gadgets causing the recalls. Other than two cracked front mud flaps, I’ve had nothing go wrong and really do enjoy the truck. No complaints on the ride - it’s a dang super duty truck so I do not expect it to ride like a sedan. What I really like: the exterior mirrors - they nailed it for fantastic coverage. B&O sound system is great, the quiet ride is surprising, retractable step on tailgate, it’s nice having three memory settings (part of option package), great that it still has knobs for volume, radio tuning, temperature etc, dashboard information is customizable, fit and finish is really quite good. The engine, what’s not to like other than diesel being really expensive right now. I also like the Ford app allowing me to see where the vehicle is located, start it, lock it, and a number of other bits of info as well. What I dislike: Mostly it’s how the controls are designed…Cruise control controls - very outdated in this model but might be better on newer models. Headlights (reg, not LED) are just OK, but the brights really do not do much. Generally dislike all the left hand controls: dash lighting stinks-you have to find/look at it and then hold a button to increase or a separate button to decrease - rotary or rocker style control is much easier and does not require eyes off the road to use. The exterior mirror adjustment control has the typical pad to adjust the mirror itself, but each mirror has a non-descript selector button to activate/arm the adjustment for that side vs a simple and tactile distinct slide to ‘arm’ the side for adjustment. You have to do this each time because once you ‘arm’ a side, it goes inactive after a bit so if you are one needing to fiddle with the driver mirror a lot, you’ll have to activate it each time. Again, you kind of have to look at it to begin the adjustment sequence.

Unreliable truck total let down.

I ordered my first superduty diesel and was excited to get it. After i recieved my truck I had it for about a month and a half and the turbo let go in it. Leaving me broke down. Took 2 months to get the truck back and 11 days later a engine light come on and back to the dealership it has to go. All and all not impressed with the price you pay for a new truck and its been in the shop longer than it has been on the road. This will be my last ford product. As its the same price to buy a house in some cities. I am stuck paying the price. Lesson be learned. Just hope truck will last till its atleast half paid off.

Worst driving truck I have owned

I had this truck from new to 60,000 miles. It was reliable but the ride is rough. The seats are not very comfortable. The death wobble is real. It drives like a lifted truck. I towed a lot with it and it did well. I did have a $9000 exhaust issue but they covered it under warranty. Overall not a bad truck but I am much happier with my new Ram 2500.

Such a smooth ride for such a big truck.

We wanted to upgrade our farm truck but also have a comfortable driving truck to haul a camper with us as we plan our future on the road camping.

I'll buy a dodge next time.

It had at least 5 recalls after buying it. It would not go in gear from park to drive or reverse and the front end had death wobble. I had a 2015 f250 and the DEF system went out, it also had death wobble and it developed a bottom end oil leak at less than 50k miles. Wife has a 2019 f150. Same recalls and just the other day she got cut by the top of the window. If you have time to find all the problems and get them fixed go ahead. I'll never buy ford again.

Biggest waste of 70,000

Highly disappointed !!! Actually, DISGUSTED with Ford! I used to love Ford, but I bought a 2019 F250 diesel and there has been recall after recall. The death wobble freaked me out and it’s a miracle I didn’t crash. I am having to pay $900 for a faulty APIM(This is the brain of the console), Which controls my radio navigation Bluetooth connect air conditioning heating. P.S. that APIM isn’t covered under any warranty at all. So, I spent $70,000 on a piece of junk. Also, the interior is made very poorly in everything scratches very easily, Two rubber things fell right off my tailgate three days after I got it, I could honestly go on and on about the issues I’ve had but I’m getting more and more angry

Best fitting vehicle.

Heavy duty vehicle but the ride is amazing. Plenty of room for everyone. No one could sit behind my seat in other vehicles. Plenty of room.
