5 star truck but 1 star for repair and service

2012 F-350 XLT…this is my third one but 1st diesel and 1st one bought used, that being said,it is without a doubt the best I’ve owned BUT…when it is out of warranty do 1 of 3 things…trade it in on a new one with warranty, look into extended warranty or make sure you know a diesel mechanic or are a mechanic yourself because when something happens to the DEF system or the engine itself, you will literally take a second mortgage out to repair it and I’m not even kidding!! These are the best of the best trucks on the road but after that is when it gets rough.Fords customer service and service department are a joke and it’s what corporate says that goes, not the dealer and they will fight you every step of the way so 5 star truck 1 star for everything else that goes with it

Cost to much to repaire

In the 7 years I owned it when it ran it towed great But over 11.000 Dollars in repairs and maintenance is to much . It only had 65.000 miles on it .Out of warranty you better have LOTS of cash to repair it

Best Truck I've ever owned

Best truck I've ever owned. Very reliable and dependable. Great motor (6.7L Powerstroke)and impressive torque. Can tow or haul anything I need. Lariat and AC seats are really nice.

Most dependable truck ive owned!

Besides maintenance not one problen with truck..105k driven not one day lost from truck issues. Pulling 7000+ lbs weekly or payloads of 1 ton + truck just goes without a blink of an eye. Will be a superduty fan for life

Great Truck

I've owned many Diesel trucks over the years to include an old Chevy with a 6.2L Detroit to Ford 7.3's and a couple of their 6.0's that I put up with. This 6.7 Diesel is probably the next 7.3. There is one issue Ford has never addressed, and that is the radiator. There is a piece of plastic that mates up with metal on the radiator, and it has a tendency to leak when the metal expands and the plastic does not. I had to have my radiator replaced last year (at 80,000 miles) to the tune of about $1800. Ford absolutely refused to cover it. With all that being said, this is the quietest, most comfortable pickup I've ever owned. It's the King Ranch, and the interior amenities are great. It has enough power to pull my house (and no, not a trailer house) across state lines, and other than the radiator, it hasn't had a lick of trouble. My biggest hangup is the cost of these vehicles. As such, it's unlikely I'll buy another one. The prices have become so inflated that I find it senseless to spend that kind of money on a pickup. I'll preserve this one and take it to the grave with me.

Great truck did everything I asked it to do

A little stiff on the ride but to be expected being an f350. Best seats of any truck on the road today. Plenty of power from the 6.7 diesel good mileage for diesel.

great value and had every feature you want

This truck was a great value and had more features than a standard truck. Everything was on point and I wished there were more out there. I think the best thing was the exterior details and how complimentary they were for the vehicle.

14 def failures in one year

Great appearance just not reliable. DEF exhaust system is beyond the capacity of mechanics to repair! Dealership did a great job of charging for failures! 7000 spent 4 tow jobs and still not right! I traded for RAM
