Purchased the car used, with 35,000 miles still love car with 153,000 have not major problems. Car is also good on gas.

Handling and braking are as good as other cars in this category. At over 8 years old, acceleration remains very good. Maintenance costs are reasonable for an older car. The antenna is a magnet for vandalism, but as long as it is screwed off, rather than snapped off, it is super cheap to replace. The side view mirrors on my model don't fold, so they break off with a minimum of contact , but those are cheap enough to replace, too. The trunk and interior are more spacious than you would think seeing it from the outside.

This car has door latch problems big time!!!! All 4 doors are affected. Either can't get in or can't get out even with unlock doors on unlock. VERY dangerous. Ford says, too bad. I'm livid!!!! Still paying 300 a month for a death trap!!!!

I needed a new car after owning a car for 12 years, and I found a 2009 used ford focus and It was the best car I ever owned, it drove nice, it was comfortable, had enough gadgets but not too many. it was roomy I was so sad when it was destroyed by a hail storm, I would choose a ford focus again.

The car is reliably for everyday drives. But gets boring after so long. Very standard. Has a decent gas milagr.other than that like i said was just reliable for everyday drives.

Bought the car new for our daughter. At 26,000 miles Ford had to rebuild the transmission. Now at 53,000 miles the transmission had to be rebuilt again. The second rebuild was not covered by Ford or the Ford dealer who repaired the transmission the first time. The quote from Ford was $5800. Will never but a Ford product again.

Perfect car for a single person or someone who doesn't need much room. Great gas mileage. Looks sharp!

Nice little car at a budget friendly price. Small, but handles well in all conditions. Owned for several years. Lost the starter while still under warrantee, had no other mechanical issues.
