Explore the 2007 Ford Freestyle

I owned our 2006 freestyle for over 18 years.

I owned our 2006 freestyle for over 18 years. It has 237,000 miles on it and we only have had to do the AC, and thus far 1 wheel baring. This car is better then anything I have ever driven. However, after all these years...a thorough paint job is required and I am gonna get it done! Runs like a charm, no noise in the engine and purrs like a kitten. I love my freestyle! She's getting up in the years but still passes an inspection with flying colors.

Good solid bus

I owned a freestyle from 2010 until 2013 it was a comfortable easy to drive car it had CVT 4wd transmission. It had 38,000 mile on the clock when I bought it and 82,000 when I traded it in. I nad a couple of problems I had taken it into a a Ford dealer for a full Service at 42.000 miles Later I had a transmission warning light, come on. According to the Service Manual the CVT oil transmission filter should have been changed at 40,000 miles "For some reason this was not done" I checked with another dealers and was quoted $700 I went to a transmission shop and they said the filter costs $80 but it's and w=awkward job. I found out on line the filter is located behind the front drivers side Engine mount. I spoke to my local Garage the mechanic said OK bring it in. I took the new filter it come complete with a set of seals. They put the car up on the ramp put a jack under the engine removed the crivers side front wheel the took out the engine mount. Removed the filter cover replaced the filter and the seals replaced the engine mount and the drivers side wheel. Roved the jack lowered the car and checked the transmission oil level. It needed some oil so they added 1 liter of transmission oil. Total charged two hours labour and the oil. Just over $100 I learned one thing Never take a car to a main dealer once its out of its Guarantee time. Apart from routine oil changed and brakes and tires not other maintenance was required. I understand later models had a six speed auto transmission.

Pretty nice car for Lyft.

I bought this car in late Jan. 2020 with sole purpose of having a larger car for more passengers and luggage. Great great reviews on the ride and interior. I can only drive it now on the wknds due to lousy gas mileage. I only get 16 in the city/highway combined. Even so I love the car.

Owned this vehicle for almost thirteen years

this vehicle had to be FORDS best kept secret. 7 passengers, cargo space for gear. last trip to Cleveland and back to Rochester over 26mpg . when I first got it everyone wanted to know what it was. after riding in it most of my friends were very impressed and my niece bought one.

Best, most reliable car we have owned.

One of Ford's best cars. Far superior to Edge in its day. Comfortable, good ride, and good handling. We would buy another if still available.

Overall a very good experience

So far so good, we'll use it as a stuff hauler, people hauler and commuter. I looked at several similar vehicles, some older some newer, but the Freestyle had more space for stuff, 3 rows of seats, better towing ratings, easy ingress and egress, less blind spots plus it's more of a wagon than a blocky SUV and a bulking Van. (Leather is really nice). Would have liked to had the 3,8L V6 and AWD option but I took the best available.

250000 Miles now; still going great

This is the best car; exterior still is great, I keep it dirty when I want it to look old. Plain on the outside, luxury on the inside. Best car ever!! I always use Ford for servicing. I don't recommend, because when this one wears out; I don't want you to buy my next one, with low miles!

Versatile People and STUFF Mover

Best combination of utilitarian capacity, style, comfort and features .....tight Volvo platform handling with Ford reliability, and reasonable MPG for a car this size.
