Impressed by my new Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT

Purchased an XLT Hybrid Maverick April 18 (ordered last July) for 25K MSRP. It so far has been worth the wait. It’s comfortable, easy to drive, surprisingly peppy, and I am getting 43 MPG. I am very happy so far!

Honda Ridge Line Inspired and I love it

My 2022 Ford Maverick XL AWD with tow Package Powerful and proven 2.0 turbo charged motor mor torque than a Toyota Tacoma Comfortable to drive and sit in on long trips, plenty of large widows for a good view of traffic. Enough room for a 6'1" man at 260 to enjoy driving or riding in the Maverick. I'm getting 26.2 miles average fuel milage in the city which 95% of my driving takes place. I personally like the looks and cool mods available for the bed. Seems like a copied version of the Honda Ridge Line @ a much more affordable price. (Love the Honda) My brother loved it so he sold his 2021 Tacoma for more thane he paid out the door for it and bought a Maverick.

Fun..ish’

Plus: It’s cheap, It’s fun to drive, It sits low, so it’s easier to load than a traditional truck. It gets amazing gas mileage, Everyone looks at it.. Cons: Build quality it appalling, It’s useless on a highway, you’ll need miles to gain enough speed to pass someone. The hybrid sound is too loud, The horn makes more noise in the cabin than it does outside. Verdict: It’s nicer than an original ranger, but that’s not saying much.. If there was more out there, I probably wouldn’t have bought it.

Perfect Truck to Fit my Needs

My folks told me about this amazing truck called the 2022 Ford Maverick, and the more I looked into it, the more I loved it. I didn't get mine custom built (we found it in the lot of a dealership), but the XL version is perfect for me. I'm actually an archaeologist and needed to replace my 2015 Chevy Trax with something, and we managed to find one of these trucks for sale! It does everything I need it to do and more, and currently I have 4,020 miles on it. Ford knocked it outta the park on this one, and I 100% intend on buying another Maverick when the time comes. I love this truck so much!

Maverik Hybrid

We bought the Maverick Hybrid with luxury pkg and it took 9 months ; worth it. Averaging 40 mpg. Ordered the smokers pkg not for smoking but for the socket - which is used for my car camera; that turned out to be worth the $ 70. We love the trucks bed with the lights and plug and tie downs. Only downside which is an oversight on our part - its towing capacity 2K. Doors seems to hold only large bottles well, small bottles not so much.

Worth the wait

Finally, someone made a genuinely small truck at a reasonable price with excellent appointments. I ordered the XLT with towing package and all wheel drive. Took five months to be delivered. It’s exceedingly well thought out in terms of utility and has ample storage inside the truck for the stuff you tend to carry when driving a truck. It’s got good power and handles well. And though smaller than the Ranger it really can seat five full grown comfortably. Oh, and it’s 15k less than the Ranger.

Better than Ford advertised

Got mine 3 weeks ago and finally had to fill it up. I got 618 miles on 14 gallons. Very impressed with the mileage, as about 60% was freeway driving, and I still averaged like 44mpg! Downsides are I wasn't able to order mine, so I paid over msrp, and I only have the XL, when I would've ordered an XLT. Otherwise, it's surprisingly peppy, handles like a small car, and handles side wind on the Narrows Bridge better than any of the 20+ vehicles I've driven across it. Guys at work dig it, and so do a few of the locals around my construction site.

Maverick Live

Love my Maverick. Best little truck for the money. It fits my needs since I am not off-roading in the truck. The Maverick is easy to get in and out of and the ride is great.

First truck that made sense for me

Was intrigues by the idea of the Maverick - a smaller kind of pickup that was sort of an SUV with an open trunk. Wasn't easy to find one, and I paid more than MSRP - a first for me in buying many new cars over the past 40 years. Now at about 2,000 miles, I feel that it is well worth the price! It's fast (relatively) with the turbo and awd, rides and handles well, and gets good mileage (24 mpg in local driving). They styling looks like a truck, and the bed is big enough for most of the things I need to carry. Ford has a winner with this one!
