235,XXX and still going strong
I was given this car from a family member and has been the best car owned so far. 235,xxx miles and still no repairs even has the factory clutch in it. i will run this car till the wheels fall off before i get rid of it. Not much for power out of the v6 but the mpg make it great and fun to drive daily. ive taken this car on three cross country trips and had no issues.

Great First Car
I love this car, it handles so good. I just wish had 175 to 180 horses that be better than 150. But i guess you could just put an cold air intake in it. Besides not much power but this car is awesome.

"Makes driving enjoyable"
My 98 GT gets an average of 22 mpg's with the automatic. The od turn off button on the stick was a cool design for hauling nuts when you feel like it. Overall the car performs great in comparision to the gas mileage.

200k and still going
well i told my wife when this car explodes i am going to buy another ford mustang...so far 10 years later it is still going with no major repairs. Even the keyless remote battery is still going! I still have people who compliment me on my car. Bought it new for 20k and it is a convertible. Best bang for the buck American or Import.

4 years and 100k miles later....no problems
I bought the car (98 V6 coupe automatic) with 91k miles on it and now it reads 184,532 miles on the odometer. I never had to take it to the mechanic for anything! The shocks were too soft to begin with and that part I don't like as well as the fake vents (styling on the body) - I personally prefer functional vents. Lots of torque and impressive amounts of cargo space! I actually took my mom and stepdad to the airport with 4 gigantic suitcases and 2 mammoth sized carry ons and it all fit in!!! I did take out the spare tire and it was tight in there but it did fit! Fold down seats are very convenient and the A/C blows at full strength still. One thing to keep in mind about this car is that it does NOT have Limited Slip Differential (LSD) and both rear tires spin when you press the gas! Meaning you can peel out and make smoke with your tires, but if you need traction (snow, rain, mud, etc.) you need to be aware of this!! I got a bolt on cold air intake to replace the factory air filter assembly and it improves MPG and performance.

Best car I have ever owned
I bought my 98 Mustang used and abused. A little TLC and I had it up and going again. I never had a single problem with this car was was the manufacturers fault - one small problem with the alignment caused by the previous owner's inablility to drive. I was very hard on this car - I had the V6 with an automatic transmission. It would spend every Wednesday night at the drag strip and I ran it like I stole it. I couldn't kill it. I had 116K on it when it met its demise - I wrecked it in a blizzard. That being said - these cars are very crash worthy. I deployed both airbags and walked away without a scratch. The car was totalled. I almost bought it back as "salvage" to rebuild it but decided to go for a V8 with a 5 speed instead. I'm sure someone has put it back together and will enjoy it as much as I did. If you buy a Mustang - just don't drive it in the snow - get a $500 beater for the winter.

extremly easy to maintain and drive!!!!!!
the car has a mean look to it as you drive it when you step into the throttle the car comes alive all 8 cilenders roar out the exhaust. the brakes don't fade after hard braking and the car handles well under harsh road conditions. when you start the car it feels normal until you put your throttle foot to the floor then the engine springs into action the possy rear end kicks the car sideways if you floor it.
