A head turner

This is a great car; it looks great, runs great, and is not a fuel hog. The only thing that I miss is storage locations for odds and ends like phones, sunglasses, etc. All in all, a great car.

Mustang Convertible 2013

My wife and I purchased a 2013 Mustang convertible in June 2012 with the 3.7L V6 305HP engine, 6 speed auto trans, leather seats, 17 inch wheels and the SYNC bluetooth package. It replaced our 2001 Chrysler Sebring LXI convertible that we purchased new and drove for 135K miles. The 2013 Mustang has many improvements over older Mustang convertibles that we rented in the past. The positive features greatly outweigh the few negative issues that we experienced, but we did find a few things that could be improved on the 2013 Mustang convertible design. We recently returned from a 3,000 mile road trip in the new Mustang from Texas to Ohio and back and were thouroughly impressed with the performance, features and fuel economy. The 305 HP and the 6 speed auto trans really makes it easy to get past trucks and slow traffic on the highway. We quickly learned that there are only two cup holders in the Mustang cabin. That might be OK for around town, but a couple more are needed for long road trips. We also found that the Mustang ride is stiffer on the highway at high speed than was the Sebring. This leads to human body fatigue after several hundred miles of high speed interstate travel. That is not too surprising, as the Mustang is a performance car and the Sebring is a touring type car. We learned to live with it, but had to squirm and wiggle in the seats much more than in the Sebring during the multi-day driving adventure. We also added a LovetheDrive wind deflector over the back seat to reduce back draft air flow in the passenger compartment at high speed with the top down. It worked great, even better than the one we had for years in our Sebring, because the Mustang back seat is much smaller. At 80 MPH with the top down and the windows up, the airflow velocity in the Mustang from back to front between the driver and passenger seats was only about 7 to 8 MPH. With the windows down, the air flow velocity between the seats is slightly more, but still much less than without the wnd deflector installed. Another thing we discovered on the highway, was that the car has to be stopped completely in order to raise the convertible top. During the long road trip, we were trapped in several single lane construction zones with heavy traffic and no place to pull over when it started to rain. We could not raise the top, even going 5 MPH in the construction traffic and we could not stop to zero MPH to raise the top without creating a traffic hazard. Our old Sebring let us raise and lower the top if we were moving at less than 15 MPH. The Mustang needs to be able to raise the top at less than 10-15 MPH and not require you to make a full stop for 10 seconds while the top goes up. Other than these minor issues, the Mustang is fantastic. On one leg, we got up to 32 MPG on the highway at 75 MPH. We averaged about 28 MPG on the highway at 75 to 85 MPH cruise. We learned why the speedometer reads 80 MPH when the needle is straight up verticle: that is the speed that the Mustang V6 likes to cruise on the open road. You can forget using the SYNG blue tooth hands free telephone features on the freeway with the top down. The SYNC system built in microphone picks up too much wind noise. Overall, for the money this is the best convertible that I have ever driven.

Awesome Car.

I purchased my 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 exactly 2 months ago. This car is a beast. It performs as expected. The exterior is beautiful and gets thumbs up, compliments and looks everywhere I take it. The interior isn't to European standards, but it is nice and the Recaro seats hold you very well during cornering and aren't too shabby for long road trips, either. The only problem I have experienced so far is the Sync wouldn't play music from my iPod through the 'line in' one day. After turning the car off and back on it was fine. Oh, and I drive my car. It isn't a garage-kept collector car. It is my daily driver. It has nearly 6000 miles on it as I write this.

I did not get a response

I did not get a dealer response to my Scion FR-S inquiry, so I purchased a 2013 Forf Mustang 5.0, and I am extremely satisfied with that vehicle. I cannot say the same for this web site.

little red 2013 GT

I like this car - I'm not in love...yet. I traded in my 120hp car I saw middle age or older women driving, not my demographic, for this 420hp giddyup. Seems to have plenty of power, but haven't nearly tested it - I look at superchargers and aftermarket exhausts in magazines, but have no intentions of taking this to a track to race or anything like that. Still not much in the way of aftermarket goodies for this 2013 available, but with the base of mustang fans, hopefully those will come in (a short) time.

Great Pony

A Mustang that compares in performance to the Boss 302's and Boss 351's of old and has better handling.

Love this car!!!

I got the 2013 mustang v6 with the performance package and this car is very quick for a v6 for me 305 horsepower is plenty of power. The car is very comfortable and really smooth. It looks great too with those 19 inch wheels! I would buy another one and I would definitely recommend it!

Happy Mustang Owners

Deciding it was time for a change, we sold our 96 and 03 Corvettes. 2012 Mustang and Camaro models were test driven. We are very happy with our Mustang Premium V-6 Convertible. The front and rear styling changes for 2013 make this year the best looking year for this generation. Performance is good...but exhaust note could be throatier. Ride is excellent and so far are combined driving we are getting 22 mpg. Great value...with the GT Premium being $8,000 more.
