Best Vehicle Owned!
My ranger is the most reliable and economical vehicle I have ever owned. Mine is a 4 cylinder so gets great gas mileage. Great little commuter and I do not haul large or heavy items so a bigger truck is a huge waste of money. I wish the auto makers would keep the midsized truck small or midsized. All the new Ranger, Colorado, Tacoma's are getting so big and expensive, you might as well get a full size. Love my 96 ranger!

A worthy steed for all riders
A great vehicle for any task. Not a luxury vehicle, but reliable and very versatile. It has more room then the standard cab which was great for me because I am tall. It was a xlt v-6 so it had plenty of get up when it needed it. It did have 4 wheel drive which is a plus and made it great for little errands or have if a little fun of road. I totally would recommend this vehicle to any one.

Best vehicle I've owned
I bought new in 1997 and still own today. The odometer shows 310497 but the odometer stopped about 7 years ago so I 'm sure it has over 400000+ miles. Other than normal items plugs, brakes, tires and batteries replacing the radiator has been the only real expense. Every one tells me I should think of getting something newer but as long as it still gets me around I will keep it.

I wish I still had it
I owned one with an extended cab and the 4.0 V6 it was the most useful vehicle ever. The fuel filler neck needed replacing, which I hear is a common problem on these pickups. 4/5 stars overall if you can maintain it properly and decide not to pull anything too heavy.

A Good First Car
I became attached to my Ranger. It was loud and shut down on me a few times, but that doesn't change the memories we shared.

small truck
Got a good price on this but learned a bit more after i bought it had 166K miles. Heat works and AC works but due to a common problem in these trucks the blend door is messed up and you cannot change the temperature. AC works only on max every other setting is max heat including the vent. Seems it was manufactured with a plastic rod and attaching bolt that after a while breaks partially or completely. Mine is partial so i am lucky to still have both heat and air. But if they made it with a metal bolt and nut this would never happen. When i researched this online i found many many examples of other people with the same issue. Only wish i had done some more research before or had checked out the heater and ac more closely before i purchased it so i could have asked the dealer to fix it.

Cant kill this War Horse.....
So I bought an old 96 ford Ranger 5 speed Manual, Standard Cab "work" truck from my old boss for 300 bucks. Back in 2006, Already had 356,xxx miles on it,...but I figured for 300 bucks...still a good deal. Its now 2014 It has 847,254 miles on it, still runs like a champ. Outside of batteries and tires, the only thing I've done to it is change the oil and a couple headlights now again. Utterly amazed it has lasted this long.....
