I Love This Vehicle
My wife and I are expecting twins, so we started shopping for a vehicle that could fit all of us, plus a large stroller, etc. After looking at the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander, there is no doubt in my mind that the Acadia is the best option. It has more space than these vehicles and I love how it handles and looks. People who are looking for a crossover have to take a look at this vehicle.

Finding my way
With lovely arrow dynamics and a built-in GPS this SUV was made to transport families everywhere. It carries up to seven passengers including the driver. Driving this seven seated vehicle is like riding in heaven. The storage is kind of small but when you fold down or take out the seats it will big and wide. There is a 100% chance that the price will be great for you in this SUV because there will never be a better 5 star SUV at this price!!!!!

Very happy with this purchase
I previously drove an '01 Excursion which we bought used when it was two years old. I absolutely loved that vehicle and all the room it had, but the time came to get something newer. We decided not to get a full size SUV due to some height restrictions regarding snow/ ice build up with a side load garage (did we just pull off garage trim siding with the luggage rack?!) I test drove an Enclave which I really liked, but it was a little too nice on the interior (I have 5 kids between the ages of 11 and three). Then I drove the Acadia, and wow....loved it! My only concern was a decrease in the roominess factor after having so much with my Excursion. But we piled all the kids in with car seats and all (two boosters and a toddler car seat) for a 'can we fit everyone in?' check. The second row seats slide forward and fold for third row access. No problem, and the third row seats have head rests which my Excursion did not, so we were able to remove the back part of the booster seats and make them smaller which saved even more room. We just came back from a trip to Nantucket with 8 passengers and luggage for all with everything fitting inside the car. I did purchase a roof cargo bag just in case, but we did not need it. We drove for 10 hours on the way home, and the car performed very well....smooth handling, road noise was minimum. The only thing I missed was an arm rest which I was used to having in a wider SUV, but I was still comfortable. I also missed having an open area on the floor between the driver and passenger which I was used to, but I still had enough room for my purse on the floor while driving. I was able to play my iPod in the front while my kids listened to what they wanted in the back. Overall, great car and very happy with the purchase. I purchased an '09 SLT (used with less than 10,000 miles). I live in the Buffalo, NY area, and I am looking forward to driving it this winter to see how it handles in the snow.

Best Car I have ever owned
We needed to trade in the honda minivan because it was breaking down and our family was becoming larger. Crossovers were in style so we checked out GM's list. The acadia was the best looking from our perspective. Its very responsive, the turning turns like a sportscar, and the interior room is similar to a GMC Yukon/Chevy Tahoe, but it rides lower. Its one of the safest car in america, so i have no problem when my 17 year old takes it out to the movies. We love the car, theres nothing about it we don't like. Good work GM!

GM hit a home run
Very comfortable with several adults on board. Lots of room for passengers and luggage. Quietist vehicle I have driven. Excellent traction in snow with only FWD. In an effort to achieve optimal fuel economy, tranmission constantly searching for top gear resulting in annoying transmission down shifting and "hunting". Dealer software corrected 75% of problem. Love the Boise sound systrem. Rear view limited when backing and major blind spots. So you need to look over your shoulder when changing lanes (a good idea for drivers of all vehicles). Feels rock solid. Good fit and finish. Styling that is distinct, but not extreme which should remain current for this first generation model run. This is the first GM vehicle that I've grown to enjoy more as the miles accrue. I wish Congress were aware of GM'S progress in design and build of this cross over.

Excellent car
Best Family car I've ever had. 24 gallon hwy is excellent. I went with FWD because we have 2-3 bad snow falls a year. By the way it still does a great job!

Completely average with a touch of annoying
I purchased the Acadia for a great price in early srping. Overall, i found the car to be a great value and i have very enthused. After driving it for several days, i found that the transmission did not want to downshift. I applaud GM for attempting the use of a 6 speed automatic, but please, make sure you know how to work with one. Gas milleage is better than my old Yukon, but surprisingly, not by much. Interior comfort it ok, with firm seats and intrusive head rests. The ergonomics take ahile to get use to, but overall, they are pretty logical. The exterior look and the interior features continue to impress me. Overall, i good car with better competitors.
