A nice drive

I like everything about the features and handling and pep. I just wish the gas milage was some better.

Exactly what I wanted minus the MPG

Pros - Awesome handling for a large SUV - Ample room for 7 - Very quiet (Denali) - Good performance - Have had it for 5 months - no issues Cons - MPG is way off from what is advertised. I'm at 13.8 MPG (combined hwy + city) vs 19 advertised - In the Denali model GMC could've used a better plastic for the dashboard and doors - A push button access to the 3rd row seat would be nice

Not Bad for the Money

Great size to fit seven people. We are a family moving up from a a minivan to an SUV. Has less interior space but looks a lot better. The Acadia rides nice and handles well for a big vehicle. Transmission is slow to shift sometimes, but keeps power to the wheels. Interior is not as good as it could be for price range, I have the Denali Acadia. Lots of options, but some are poorly thought out. For example the auto-tilt mirrors for parallel parking have to be turned on when the cars is in park. The angle they tilt is obsessively to far down. But otherwise with 17k on the car now, me and the family like the car. The gripes I have are minor, just things the mini-van did better.

owned for 1 year so far.

Up to the 1 year mark, i've completely enjoyed my 2011 Acadia. I have no complaints , whatsoever. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a larger suv.

Luxury

We were on the fence between this and a Ford Edge. We went with the Denali package and with 0% financing it was pennies more then the edge, but I feel the Denali's resale value will be higher. I like the style and the interior of the vehicle. The only thing it lacks is more voice commands and hands free options. On the Edge you could tell it to do anything via voice activation but the higher priced Denali does not have that option. Other then that I like the Acadia allot and look forward to going on some long road trips with it.

Love the acceleration

Moved from a lincoln navigator to the Acadia and was afraid it would be too small - I was wrong. Plenty of space and the acceleration of the accadia is great without costing me an arm and a leg on gas. Love this car!!

Beats the heck out of a minivan

We just purchased the Acadia SLT-2 after I sold our minivan. Needed a vehicle with 3 rows of seats to accommodate family of 5 w/2 teen-agers. Looked at Explorer, Highlander, Dodge Journey, even BMW X5. All nice vehicles but went for the Acadia because we got an excellent deal on the vehicle from the GMC dealership. My wife loved the interior and styling and appointments. Kids love the leather captain chairs and the third row seats and Bose sound system (which is impressive). I like the handling and AWD, particularly compared to our minivan. I would compare the styling to a GMC version of the Lexus, although the Acadia is a lot cheaper and has a third row. I personally preferred the new Explorer but was unable to find a deal on one in May (maybe September) as Ford dealers aren't offering any incentives because of the demand. The Highlander was also a top choice for about the same money, but we wanted to get a domestic vehicle, and there is more interior room with the Acadia. The Journey is less expensive and has the third row, but it is a station wagon, and there is no comparison in styling with the Acadia or the others SUVs/crossovers on my list. Mileage is an issue, as noted here, but it's about the same as our minivan. It's heavy at 5,000 pounds, and it's long with the third row (a comfortable third row unlike the Highlander). Will see how it performs in snow and ice. If you are in the market, look for incentives and deals because they are out there with the advent of summer, and the clearance deals will crank up in July and August...

The best looking car.

This suv is hard to find at a price that a person can afford, but if you find at a good price. buy it. I drove a grand am for 11 years, I love this vehicle, I set higher, I am not low on the ground. You can get this suv with the lowest of features, but still have alot. I would buy this suv again.
