Almost Great!

Everything on the car is great except for: 1. Lumbar on driver and passenger seat is tooo stiff even at its lowest setting. 2.Gas mileage in city is like a V8 and not as advertised. I drive like a granny and get 12-14 mpg avg. in the city, 280-300 miles per 20 gal. tank = :( 3.Turn signal and windshield wiper control are on the same side, so some times when I hit my signal the wiper blade goes on or the windshield spits cleaner at my windshield. 4.Clock is way to small even when you make it the only thing to see on the radio. 5.No instant gas mileage gauge, but its on the Chevy Traverse which is the same car. 6.No cup holder behind center counsel for second row passengers, cup holders are on the doors so if you have a drink and no cover or a can, when you close the door the drink spills. 7. No push button start but cars half the price offer that option. 8. No cool accent lighting around or in the car. 9. Sun roof has a mesh cover and doesn't keep the sun out when its shut this sucks. 10. Navi doesn't have voice command. 11. Bluetooth calls can only be dialed from cell phone no internal phone book option means not true hands free calling also no caller ID so you need to look at phone to see who is calling you (very dangerous). 12. when cruising downhill or with foot off the pedal RPM never goes under 1500 so hard to achieve good gas mileage. 13. Major up-sell if you want traffic update on Navi you need to subscribe to XM and if you want to enter address when driving you need to have onstar. This is an extra $450 per year for both services, and with no voice option to enter address when driving you either need Onstar or need to stop the car. 14. No hill drive assist so the car will roll back when stopped on a hill or the brake needs to be pressed with left foot until i'm ready to press gas with right foot. 15. No power outlet in center counsel so there is always a wire out if you want to charge your cell phone. I do however love the space, ride , turning radius, heads-up display and warranty. But I think I should of gotten the Explorer as I haven't even used the 3rd row yet and although I like the styling of the Acadia better, the Ford seems to have more of the options I wanted. Hope this helps.

Perfect for family of 5

We bought our 2011 Acadia Denali in January. The rebates offered made it a more attractive than in the past. With three kids under 11, the Acadia fit our needs very well. It has as much space as our minivan but with much more style and AWD capabilities. We do some significant road trips each year and space and comfort for everyone is key. After looking at other options in the segment, we liked the additional space offered in and behind the third row. It was much more than the others we looked at. My only complaint is gas milage. We have put on over 4,000 miles already and I'm no where close to what was listed on the sticker. I'm averaging 4 to 5 MPG less than what is listed. With gas approaching $4, that is a significant difference in total miles per tank and cost.

Ahhh-Cadia

2011 SLT - Great car on inside and out. Gas Mileage is not good. 15 -16 mpg around town. They need to put an audio/mp3 jack and power outlet inside the middle console so wires aren't hanging out all over the dash. Great room and comfort inside along with a great ride. Bucket seats a must to access the 3rd row...

Great car...bad mileage

We've just had our new '11 a couple of months, and love it in almost every way. It drives like a car, is spacious and has excellent tow capacity for a crossover. We bought the tow package to accommodate small to mid-size travel trailers and a cargo trailer to pull our Harley. The only real negative...and somewhat of a surprise was the gas mileage. Without towing, and at moderate highway speeds rarely exceeding 65 mph, we've only managed to get 20 mpg once. Not sure who those folks are who are supposedly getting 23-27 mpg cited on the sticker. Still...we shopped long and hard, and feel really good about everything else about the Acadia, and would do it again.

Nice Transition From A Yukon XL

I have a family of (4) and I came out of a Yukon XL before purchasing the Acadia. I've had to adjust to the different ride, handling, suspension and cornering. The perforemance is very good as is the reduced fuel consumption. My kids, 11 and 9 years old are finally OK with the Acadia. They did not like it at first. They loved the Yukon!

Love it

I had shopped for this car for months before deciding (SLT1). We decided to size down from a Ford Expedition but still needed the room. I love everything about the car except the gas mileage. I had read about that in all the other reviews but really loved this car compared to others in its class for everything else so that outweighed it. But yes the gas mileage is unfortunately terrible. Part of the reason was to go from an 8 cylinder to a 6 was to save on gas. Sadly this truck is not much different on gas than my 8 cylinder! And that is very disappointing. But the truck drives like a dream and fits my needs and I love all the bells and whistles I didn't have before. Rearview camera, power liftgate, heated seats, dvd, tri-zone climate, ipod campatability and much more.

Great new SUV

This was my first SUV. My last car was a Cadillac CTS. I wanted something that could pull my boat that weighs around 3500 pounds. The Acadia is a dream to drive and is as solid as a rock. Zero problems so far. Bluetooth sync is great to my cell phone. Kids love the car. The entertainment system is great and I like having On-Star. It is always amusing to get an email every month that tells me how soon I need an oil change and if I need to put air in my tires.

Good car

Bought my 2011 Acadia AWD SLT2 a month ago after a lot of research. Like the 2nd row captain chairs and split 3rd row (several competitors don't have a split). Acadia has better than average towing capacity for its class and it pulls my boat easily. Interior is nice with good leather. Some of the interiors feel is not as high quality as my Infiniti but still nice. Exterior styling is better than Ford, Toyota, or Honda. My price with lots of options was about $47,000...a lot of money for a GMC. We do like the vehicle and would recommend it.
