Perfect replacement for suv & pickup
This was the perfect vehicle to replace my Buick Enclave and 1/2 ton pick up truck. As a pickup, I can both haul and tow with this unit. It will tow up to 7000 lbs. The pickup bed is a good size for every day hauling and, with the addition of a flip tonneau cover, it can function like an SUV since locking the tailgate secures access under the cover. This unit has plenty of power for mergin into interstate traffic. Lots of safety features including lane change and front collision warning. Backup camera is great and perfect for hooking up to a trailer. Interior design is classy and comfortable. Price is well below full size pickups and SUVs. This was a great purchase.

Roomy cabin and impressive ride and handling
I test drove the GMC Canyon three times, in V6 and diesel, SLT and All Terrain. I was impressed with the interior room, car-like ride and handling, and overall value for the money. A fully-equipped SLT is thousands of dollars less than a comparably equipped Jeep Wrangler 4-door. And the Canyon with the V6 in particular is very refined and quiet.

2019 Canyon Denali V6 Gas
My wife and I were transitioning from a 2007 full size crew cab and wanted a mid size crew cab as our boys have grown up and we didn't need such a large truck. The choices were the Nissan Frontier, Toyota Tacoma, Honda Ridge-line, and the Chevy Colorado or twin GMC Canyon. The Honda's bed was too small and the look of it just doesn't appeal to us personally. Don't get me wrong we own a 2018 Honda Accord and have owned several Honda's, Toyota's and have been very pleased with all of them. Originally I thought we'd be buying the Tacoma due to owning several in the past but the Tacoma doesn't offer power seats and for me they sit way to low. I loved everything about the Toyota Tacoma even the way the seats felt with the big exception of sitting to low where my legs felt like they were laying straight out just above the floor board. When I got into the Canyon the first thing I noticed were the firmer seats which made me think about my ex-bosses Audi and my sister-n-laws Mercedes seats as the Europeans seem to like firm. For us the seats are great but that's a personal preference. The smooth driving experience, more than enough power from the V6, and nice layout of all the controls, sold us along with the longer bed. The long box crew cab is actually a half inch longer overall than our previous 2007 Nissan Titan crew cab but narrower and much more nimble to move around in tighter spaces. We ended up buying the Denali package because for us all the extras, (20" wheels, added chrome, upgraded leather, sprayed in bed liner, chrome running boards, grill, rear backup sensors and safety package, and I'm sure there a few other items) were already complete on the truck so all I had to do was tint the windows and it was just the way we wanted it. There are a few things that were disappointing but definitely not a deal breaker for a Denali. 1.) No Memory Seats 2.) Power seats but manual tilt back? Good thing is though you can quickly raise the lever and the seat back has such close settings you can set it fast and right where you want it. 3.) No Blind Spot Monitoring in the side mirrors. 4.) No Blinkers or arrows in the mirrors. 5.) No home-link for garage door openers. 6.) No adaptive cruise control or automatic braking. It's similar to our 2015 Honda Accord where it sounds an alarm and flashes on the windshield if somebody's braking and your not slowing down or are getting to close. It does have lane assist and sounds in either the driver side or passengers side speaker depending on what side of the lane your drifting out of which is nice. However even with these six bullets above, the over all feel, the way it drives, and it's sexy appearance were all we needed. Only time will tell on reliability as this is our first new GM product and I believe our 38th new vehicle we've purchased in our lifetime. We did purchase the 7 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. And I figure this truck will last us for the next 10 years before we retire and purchase another toy. Main thing is finding the right truck for your needs and comfort as everybody's different. I'm confident my wife and I will be happy for years to come. Happy shopping...

Love the baby diesel
I recently purchased the diesel version of this truck and took it straight to the mountains of Virginia for work. I absolutely love that the truck doesn't downshift to get up hills and mountains. It just goes over them at the same rpm! Very impressive power plant. Great ride for a smaller truck and it is absolutely beautiful inside and out.

Expected more with the Denali trim
This is our first pickup. Traded in an 06 Mercury Mountaineer. We love the look and size of the Canyon. The Sierra was a great deal but too much truck for us. Some of the pros: the truck handles great, easy to park in tighter spaces, nice storage compartments for a smaller truck, good power, smooth ride, very clear rear view camera with sensors; remote start; heated steering wheel, cooled seats, wireless charging (though a bit tight for my iPhone X with case). The cons: no separate a/c controls. My husband is always hot and my only choice is to aim the vents away and turn on the heated seats. Hard seats, super fake looking faux wood (I plan to switch out sometime with the brushed metal look), no front parking sensors, no homelink, no personal driver settings, manual seat backs, no push button start, no blind spot arrows/turn signals on side views, no head up display. We've only had the truck a month and had to put in a warranty request for one of the rear seat bottoms - the leather on one of the corners looks worn by the stitching and looks like it could come apart; today the radio would not shut off with truck off and doors locked; passenger side microphone - supposed to be for 'enhanced' voice controls - doesn't work. I scream to talk for navigation and it doesn't do anything. Dealership gave us a crazy explanation for why it doesn't work for anything other than a 2nd phone. They were wrong. They are still trying to figure it out. I know I’ve listed a lot of cons but I'm used to all the features on our Yukon Denali. I'm probably expecting too much for a $45k vehicle but at least a few of those options should have come with this trim. Even our old Mountaineer had some of these features. If I had to do it over, would I buy it again?? Maybe next year when they get the push button start...

Best Canyon Yet
Sold my 2015 Canyon and got the 2019 Canyon All Terrain. The 2019 is quieter and the 8 speed AT shifts much smoother than the old 6 speed in the 2015. Very happy with the improvements made.

Great replacement for my SUV with more versatility
Needed a vehicle that could pull my boat and my utility trailer for hauling my lawnmower or golf cart and work around my 50+ acre home place. However, as it would be my only vehicle, I also wanted something that was easy to maneuver in city traffic and easy to park. Plus I wanted the comfort and storage of an SUV. Chose the Canyon. Rightsized for city driving and parking and perfect for pulling boat/trailer (up to 7000 lbs.). Peppy V6 lets me easily merge into Interstate traffic. Truck has that "beefy" yet sleek look. Very stylish. Added a bak-flip tonneau cover to give me "SUV type" storage. Love the easy lift/lower tailgate which locks to secure articles stowed in the bed. Only missing feature thus far is that it won't pair with my garage door opener, so I have to keep my visor clip on.

Best truck I ever bought.
This truck has the Denali package. Quiet vehicle with great handling. This vehicle has all the things that you need in a truck. Lockup rear eliminates the need for four wheel drive.
