Best truck ever!!!

I bought mine new in 2005. It now has 250,000 miles and still purring like a lion. It has been very well maintained has had very few repairs. It has been a pleasure to drive it’s both comfortable and has lots of power. I like how the front center compartment will go up for a sixth seat. It was able to hold the whole family with car seats and all in the back. It’s a good solid truck. It has never been garaged and it’s sat out in the Oregon coast rains now for seven years. It is finally showing signs of rust on the hood front edge and some color discoloration on the hood and roof. Its gone through a few head and tail light bulbs and had a few tire changes and brake pads jobs but what can you expect for a truck that is 18 years old with that many miles. I’ve been super pleased with it and when the sad day comes and it won’t run anymore, I might just buy another 2005 with less miles because it’s been so good.

Will NEVER get another GMC

Main issue is a bad stepper motor in the speedometer that seems to be a common problem with these trucks. Supposed to be under recall but despite numerous emails to GMC pointing out the Court ordered recall to fix this problem they refuse to fix the problem and told me that I have to pay for the fix myself. Other issues include interior lights will not come on most of the time and headlights do not always come on when they are supposed to. My friend has a GMC Envoy and had a similar issue. The headlights would suddenly go out and was also under recall yet GMC told her that she had to pay for the fix herself. I would not recommend a GMC to my worst enemy. GMC should not be putting out faulty crap then expect the consumers to pay for the fixes under recall.

kept outside in winter. Good starter!

This is a utility truck, 8 foot box, good for hauling, clean interior, not abused. Bed liner keeps the truck clean. Some rust for it's age. Low mileage.

Bought in early 2008

The transmission has always not changed smoothly. It does not engage for a few ticks after putting it in gear. The result is that it jerks when you mash the accelerator to soon. The interior of the truck finish has peeled off on the console and surrounding area.

Best truck I've owned

This is the 2nd crew cab I've owned. Interior is spacious and comfortable. Gets good gas mileage for a truck it's size. Very reliable and plenty of power. Easy to maintain and work on, if needed, plus parts are readily available. It's no wonder these trucks are a blast to own and fun to customize. These trucks have come a long way from the old days.

Reliable Rugged and Ready

I will only drive GM trucks after having such an awesome experience with my 05 Sierra. It does everything I need and more. I highly recommend these over all other full size brands.
