2012 GMC Sierra 1500 consumer reviews

This is the most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned. The only issue I’ve ever had with it is the gas mileage. There are so many aftermarket options for these to make them better and better.

Unknown. My only experience was the test drive, the service department has had it for 5 work days now (I did not count Sunday) while addressing some issues I identified during the test drive.

2012 GMC 1500, great payload and Tow capacity for a 1500, lots of room in the back for the kids, great on gas for a full size 4x4 truck all kinds of driving and some towing I average about 14miles per Gal. tows easy, rides very smooth for a big 4X4 truck, rides like my wife's SUV. I have owned Ram, and Ford, Love this truck, will stick with GMC from now on.

I love it, it is the nicest I ever owned. I would buy another one. They have lots of them at Sunrise Auto Sales go there today and get yourself one!

have always been a jeep wrangler owner, seen this truck on my way home at the dealership. turned around and pulled into dealership to test drive. half hour later im trading my number 6 wrangler in to buy a gmc sierra 1500. truck is so spacious inside. rear has even more room I have twins and still room for a third carseat or person in the middle. plenty of power and comfortable ride. As of now im officially a gmc lover will own more from here on out

This vehicle was purchased from a friend. Has served us very well. Previous owner as well as us have taken very good care of this truck. Had some parking lot dings, but taken care of with touch up paint. Never any body work.

Time Traveler 6 minutes ago (edited) I have a GMC 1500 , Denali , Fully loaded , Crew Cab , short bed . While all the review Sites listed this GMC Industrial Grade Truck , at 4.3 to 4.6 rating out of 5 . My AWD front trans gear box went out in less than 33,000 miles , took three trips to one of our area highest rated dealerships to Fix Front Gear box and get the Seal to stop leaking ( all over my Paved Drive way ) I just passed 36,000 miles and the dash board has cracked , yeah Quality built industrial Grade , ( my Butt ) The specialty chrome wheels are peeling off chrome like a old house , painted in cheap paint . The truck has never DONE A decent days work in its life ! Been babied , pampered , well careful . Highest grade Gas , K & N air filter , Highest graded synthetic oil , yet Gas mileage still isn't what is advertised . If you polish and Wax the Chrome Wheels which I do regularly , you have to wear protective gloves or the peeling chrome will cut you like a razor knife . Was A GM loyalist for most my life not any more ! , Quality has gone down , materials used has been greatly cheapened . Will be getting rid of it sooner than later. Such a shame really like the looks , and comfort . Had a Silverado before this, bought in 2004 LT Z71 pkg , traded it with 134,000 miles. Care for it like this GMC Denali , no real problems at all and used it to pull and haul all kinda of stuff . Warning Buy Be Where !!!!!! GMC MOTTO Industrial Grade is just a slogan , its definitely not performance wise JMO

This GMC meets and exceeds my expectations for comfort, ride quality, performance and function. Hauls what I need when I need it. Wonderful seat position for any person.

This truck rides like a luxury sedan. I can't believe it's seven years old it looks and drives like new. This truck makes me a GMC man for life!​

Truly a great GMC Sierra. Completely positive experience. Comfortable Seating, lots of chrome, powerful 5.3L V8 with plenty of hauling capability. Enjoyable to drive. Robust and durable. Fantastic truck to own and enjoy.
