Already issues on a 2 year old truck.

This truck has already had the MAF go out and have a grounded wire that caused the truck to run terribly. Fuel mileage is abysmal and no where near the claimed MPG on the sticker. It sounds like a pulley bearing is already starting to go as well. There is a patch of peeling paint on the rear drivers side door frame. GMC refuses to cover their terrible paint job under warranty. The wheels all leak air. Upgraded 8 speed transmission shifts hard in lower gears and makes noticeable clunking noises in the rear. Only 50k miles.

Best truck I've ever owned.

I opted for the 6.2 engine. It has plenty of power and torque yet I get 22+ mpg on the highway. It is smooth as silk and comfortable.

Nice truck in any aspect

The truck has a very good engine, plus the luxury package it has makes it shine against other trucks, it's perfect in every aspect, enough room inside, it has a good bedliner, the exterior is basically intact

Most up to date vehicle I have owned

This truck has everything I was looking for plus more. I like the style of the double cab even though it has a little less leg room in the back seat it still seats adults comfortably. The 5.3 engine has plenty of power and the transmission is smooth. The ride is smooth and quite.

My first lemon

Shortly after I bought this truck new I started having issues with the truck slamming into gear and sometimes it would jerk when going at a slow speed. After my third trip to have it repaired they said tore the transmission apart and said that there is nothing wrong with it but they still installed a new transmission. This did not fix the problem. This whole time I had been talking with GMC about the issue and explained to them that this was legally a lemon and at this point them had to replace the truck. It fell on deaf ears. I then took it to another dealership and they said that there is absolutely something wrong with this truck. They could not determine the issue or how to fix it. I have owned 14 GMC vehicles and only once had a major issue but when I needed GMC just this one time they were not there for me.

Powerful truck fully capable, in style and comfort

This truck has so many features, and is capable of handling most anything you throw at it. Very powerful, tons of features, and feels like a luxury vehicle on the inside. I moved across the country with a trailer in tow, and the truck never even hinted that it had to work hard. Perfect driving in the winter on snow in four wheel drive. I've gotten out of many stuck spots thanks to that. The elevation edition is stylish and attractive. Great truck.

A Lot Of Positives

I was looking around for a new pickup. My previous pickups were Fords, but decided to look at the Chevys and GMCs. Wound up getting a great deal on a loaded-up Sierra SLT Z71 4x4. It was considered used, but only had 3,000 miles on it. Beautiful truck, and very comfortable. HOWEVER... In the less than two years that I've had it, I've had it in 3 or 4 times for problems with the A/C. I'm hoping they got it fixed this last time, since my warranty will run out in 2020. But that is like a black cloud hanging over my head, wondering it it will be a long-term problem. Unrelated, but I think they should have put an A/C vent in the back of the front-center console to blow air into the back seat of the crew cab. The transmission seems to hesitate a bit and jerk at low speeds. Dealer says they couldn't duplicate the problem. Gas mileage is better than any of the Fords I've owned. All-around very nice truck. I just wish I could trust the A/C more...

Great truck but transmission shudders, shakes, hes

Transmission slams in and out of gear, searches, hesitates and shutters. This from trucks 2015 to 2019. GM makes every excuse to warranty the transmission! Buy Toyota
