Sleeper car

I have a 2006 Accord coupe, 6 cylinder, 6 speed manual. I've had 10 cars since I began driving, and this is by far my favorite. It is smooth as a sewing machine, very quick; you never have any concerns about its capability when merging into traffic, and decent handling. I d0 mostly highway driving, and it's wonderful for long drives despite my bad back. It has over 100K miles on it; and I've put maybe 1200$ into the "big" tuneup and brake repair. I average about 30 MPG all the time. My last car was a Miata, granted, in handled better, but the acceleration and overall comfort the Honda is a much better vehicle. But I'll own another Miata some day. The only deficient areas are driving in the snow, and the handling could be better. The clutch is one of the more difficult I've driven, and all but one of my cars has been a manual.

2006 Honda Accord EX V6

A 2006 Honda Accord Ex V6 is an 8 yr old car. I owned a 2006 Accord 3.0L Auto*. I drove it for a year. Drove strong. Recommended. Shouldn't be a problem. No worries.

Freat deal for the money

Found this Honda on Cars.com and it was in excellent shape for a 1 owner. Had a lot of miles but car interior/exterior was super clean and engine runs like it only has 10000 miles on it. It was definitely worth the drive to buy this car.

Best Car Ever

My wife and I have always traded cars off pretty quickly, usually not keeping them for more than two years, if that long. We bought our 2006 Accord SE (White Wilma is her name) new and just haven't been able to part with her. I put about 30,000 miles per year on her for the first six years and in the past year my wife has been putting on 80 to 100 miles per day yet we still don't have any problems with her. We've had five different cars during the same time we've owned Wilma but she always sticks around long after they're gone. 220,000 miles now and all we've had to do is give her regular oil changes, one battery and two sets of tires. That's it, really!! We've finally put her up for sale as we have two other newer vehicles but it won't hurt our feelings if she doesn't sell. She's part of the family and truly is the best car we've ever owned.

great car

The navi is better than my gps. Love the heated seats and the 6 disc cd player. Can't wait til summer to open the sunroof. Trunk has lots of space. Leather seats are a lot better for keeping clean.

The Most Puzzling Part of My Life...

Was purchasing a Honda Accord after driving a BMW 740iL for years. The styling of the Honda Accord is so-so. It looks like it was a prototype to every other midsize sedan on the market for the 2006 year. With the V6, it accelerates well and feels like a powerful car, but it just doesn't live up to the pricetag to have bought it new ($30,280 with nav, like mine). Driving a white midsize sedan definitely takes you off the radar, but it doesn't help your feelings of power and style. It has been a pretty reliable car after buying it with 42,XXX miles on it, and now having passed 127,2XX miles after almost 5 years. Most of my driving has been on highways since I purchased my Accord, with about 17 city/25 hwy on regular gas with the 5 spd automatic. The electrical and technological systems have held up nicely, with only replacements of the battery and a damaged cable under the seat. Repairs are easy to perform and parts are readily available, which was the main motivation for moving from a large luxury car such as the 7 series BMW to the Honda, and insurance rates and my tag are much more manageable too. One thing to note with Honda and its navigation system equipped cars is the graphics for the on-screen map displayed. It is not as descriptive and detailed as newer, more connected systems, but the voice command function with the nav equipped Accord works much more intuitively than the Sync system I tried with the newer and more expensive Taurus and Fusion.

Smart Choice!

Reliable, gets me to where I'm going. Great on gas. Great acceleration in my v6 manual with the whole family and a full trunk. Heated full leather seats and satellite radio is a must. If you love to look at cars and drive them as much as I do, it's a no brainer.

Loving my Honda!

Back in April, the transmission went out on my 1999 Toyota Camry. I knew I had to get a new car because the cost to repair was more than my car was valued at. Immediately I started thinking back to the 1994 Honda Accord I used to own and I wanted to go back to Honda. I love the way they handle and the smooth ride. Luckily, the internet sales manager at a local dealership had just traded in his 2006 Honda Accord with only 43,500 miles. I love this car. It has plenty of room for my two kids in the back, yet sporty for a "mom mobile". I would recommend this Year/Make/Model to anyone looking for a reliable car and I guarantee, you will not be disappointed.
