Hondas are just great!
Awesome, economical, comfortable and very roomy. Drives very smoothly and powerful for a 4 cylinder vehicle. Bang for the buck would be an understatement. Honda just make great cars.

Love hate
Accord EXL, 3.5 liter V-6. Top of the line model for this year. First the bad. Started using 1 qt. of oil every 1,000 miles (approx.) at around 100,000 miles. This car always factory service, by the book. Then, it tried to strand us a couple of times, missing and running ruff. The fix was a coil pack at 125,000 or so. The sun roof blew up for no apperant reason at around 110,000 miles. Finally the front cam shaft had to be replace at around 150,000 miles for a very loud ticking noise. I recieved the defective cam shaft, one of the intake lobes looked as if it had been beaten with a miniature ball pen hammer. The service advisor said they had a barrel full of them! As for as the oil consumption issue goes, this was the first year of this engine. It goes from 6 cylinder's firing to 4 then even 3 cylinders firing depending on the load, to save fuel (thanks EPA). Anyway, I believe the oil consumption was due to this feature. At times , when cruising down the interstate, and going around a slower car (accelerating) I would see a cloud of blue smoke. My belief is while the engine is operating in 4 or 3 cylinder mode, oil is making its way into the cylinders that aren't firing. When one puts a load on the engine and the "oil filled" cylinders then fire, the result is the blue smoke plume. I don't know, just a guess. All I know is that it is very difficult to get Honda to "on up" to any of the aforementioned issues. I would stay away from any of these engines. I owned a 2004 Honda Pilot with a 3.5 liter V-6 that operated normally , i.e. no dead/non-firing cylinders/gas saving/oil burning/EPA pacifying / BS, which was a fabulous engine and got 27 mpg highway! The car did ride and handle well for a Japanese sedan. It looked good. The body and interior were sturdy. Paint was good. Transmission never broke. The air conditioner did fail at about 145,000 miles. Never repaired it. I trader it (virtually) worthless for a 2016 Toyota 4Runner. Needless to say I have a bad tatest for Honda products right now.

The Honda Accord is a practical vehicle that will get you from point A to point B with excellent gas mileage and great reliability. What it lacks in flash, it makes up for in value.

The Best Car I Have Ever Had
I am 48 years old, and I have had many good cars in my life. This is truly the best car I have ever had. The car shines like new with just rinsing it off. It has given me no problems. I still looks and drives as it were brand new. It has been garage kept. I will hate letting this car go.
