I should have...

I should have kept my 2009 Accord coupe EX-L. Instead I traded it for a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. BIIIG Mistake. I missed my Accord enough that I went and traded the Sonata back to an Accord. The one I purchased is a 2010 EX Coupe black on black. I missed the firm handling the car offers and the mature driving dynamics ive come to like and expect from Honda. With a 270 watt premium audio system its great to travel with the windows down and the volume up enjoying the drive! The Accords have a solid steady feel to the road and I missed that quite a bit. The previous winter, my 09 coupe handled excellent on snow covered roads and it was a pleasure to drive. Fuel economy in mixed driving seems to land me about 24 or 25 mpg which isnt bad but I think could be improved on. Hwy mpg seems to reside in the LOW 30s. Not bad, but Honda better watch its back with all the competators approaching quickly. The 2.4 liter engine with 190hp is adequate but dont expect a nose bleed accelerating on the hwy. The 3.5 liter in the v6 with 271 ponies is outstanding. The controls inside the cabin are logically placed and arent too button heavy until you knock into the EX-L trim and Navigation only adds. The fabric seats in the EX coupe v. the leather pkg. EX-L are comfortable. I think the leather provides a little more firm support, however, the cloth interior by no means is inferior. Its just a personal choice. The seats feel supportive in the EX but oddly enough there is no lumbar support for your lower back. The trunk isnt too bad for a coupe however it only folds in one piece. The previous generation Accord's and even the current Civic generation has a 60/40 split. Two features Id like to see added to the EX trim level is the outside temp dislay and fog lights. XM radio would be nice, but i dont wanna push my luck! Overall, im extremely glad to be back into a Honda and hope I don't make the same mistake again! Honda's, in general have proven themselves to be quality built vehicles that last a generation.

Awesome Vehicle!!

We leased a 2010 Honda Accord EX-L V-6 w/navi in late Nov. 2009. We have taken the vehicle on a long road trip to Southern California, where we put over 2000 miles on this car in less than 1 week. The car is very comfortable for long trips, gets excellent fuel economy, (26mpg for the trip), and the navigation is simply phenominal!! Overall we find this car to be the best vehicle we have ever had. Our friends and relatives have also fallen in love with this car, and are always asking us to take the Honda when we go places. With all that this car has to offer, I wonder why anyone would ever buy and Acura TL?

The New Cars Need More Human Comfort

The 2010 Honda Accord is a very good performer, both four and six cylinder models. It was my favorite car, of the many different ones we drove. The passenger seat was installed slightlt off-angle in one car. I was trying to buy a more fuel sparing car,but would be required to select another six cylinder model, in order to, get a passenger power seat. I refuse to be coersed in buying another gas burner to get a comfortable auiomobile, After all, why bother to get a new car, if it is not comfortable to both passengers? The leather interiors were nice, but the cloth ineriors were rather shabby when you consider the price,

Soul of a sports car

After years of European cars and the ups and downs of owning them, I needed a safe, reliable mid-size car with room for the family, good fuel economy and a little driving fun. Drove the Fusion (good car, but ugly, cheap interior), Camry (also good, but bland to drive), Passat (great driver, too pricey). The new Sonata was intriguing, but it was unavailable at the time of my purchase. The Accord's exterior styling is pleasing, and I think the interior is beautiful, zen-like. Quality is top notch in both assembly and materials, although I found the left front fender slightly misaligned (probably noticeable only to me). The Accord is the perfect car for a driving enthusiast on a budget. It checks all the boxes (roomy, safe, economical) for a family sedan. However, unlike the others I drove, it also offers razor sharp steering, a sweet-shifting 5 speed manual, responsive handling, and a smooth, high revving engine. It even gets the little things right - thick-rimmed, small diameter steering wheel, perfectly placed dead pedal and sport seats. It's easy to dismiss the Accord because of its ubiquity and the conservative styling, but underneath the skin, like a lot of Hondas past and present, it has the soul of a sports car. If you want to drive a 4-wheeled isolation chamber, buy a Buick. As for negatives, the single-piece fold down rear seat is silly - even the Civic has a 60/40 split. Other issues are related to feature content, which I shouldn't complain about because I'm cheap and I got the base LX, but I will anyway: no exterior temp gauge/trip computer (you need to go 3 steps up from the LX to get this), seats have aggressive, non-adjustable lumbar support (though I am growing to like them), no USB port or Bluetooth. After driving Saabs and BMWs for the past 10 years, I thought I'd be sacrificing fun for practicality. Not even close.

Nice vehicle

I bought the 2010 Accord Coupe EX for my college age daughter after turning in a Chevy Cobalt at the end of a three year lease. No fair to compare these two cars. We looked at the comparable Toyota (Camry), Audi (A4), Accra, Scion and Chevy. Although I liked the Hyundai, she would not try it. Hands down we both liked the Accord from among this group as a total package. It has the space, style and handling that she wanted and a price that a dad with two daughters in college could afford. After a month she loves the style, space and handling even more, and we are both happy to have bought it. Now I have to buy her sister's car.

Great car

Spent over a month looking at different cars and comparing them. The Accord had so much more going for it that the Fusion, Altima or Mazda 6. You always have the thought of did I pick the right car, well after a month I can say YES I DID. This car is so comfortable and easy to drive I look forward to driving it. I was leary due to some of the reviews and now I wondering what car they have. If you think the arm rest is to far back, Slide it forward! Honda did a great job again. I have the EX-L with the 4cyl, gas mileage in mixed driving is 24 mpg, can't wait to take a long trip and see what it does.

Not the most comfortable

The seats don't feel uncomfortable while in the car, but the more I drive it the more my back hurts. The arm rest seems too far away and the seats are too firm. I can feel the tension in my back and the seat does not accomodate a relaxed position. The lever to adjust the steering wheel is also harder to use than it should be. The 190hp in the EX is plenty of power and the car handles great for its size. Hopefully seat cushions will alleviate the pressure points and back pain. I'd take a look at the Maxima or Altima depending on desired price.

VERY roomy 2010 Accord

I'm a big guy (6'2) and I looked at a lot of new lineups and they all felt like I needed a crowbar to get out of, except the 2010 Accord. Also, the Accord felt smoother inside, not like your sitting on top of or inside a plastic box. I wanted a Ford, but just could not beat the roominess or comfort of the this car. I also wanted plenty of room for my family in the back seat an there is just no comparison I could find out there. I was told that due to the roominess factor, the federal government now classifies this car as a full side sedan. I was told the seats were designed by several Chiropracters and that really was the first thing I noticed when I got in - how realxing, supportive and comfortable the seats felt. I upgraded to the electric adjustable drivers seat, just because. I have driven this for 3 months an it is a jewel on the road. Good enough gas mileage for now and with leasing, I can just trade it in evey 3 years and count on getting better and better technology and gas mileage. I highly recommend this car if you need ample room and like a solid, comfortable ride.

Honda Accord 2010: comfort and elegance

Easy to handle, unexpectedly comfortable, quiet, beautiful, a joy to drive. Two drawbacks : 1/ the lack of rubber bars at the fender. After the very first day my car had ugly scratches. I know this is the trend, not to have this protection anymore. However, it is a very bad trend. I would have paid extra to have them. 2/ My old car, a 1985 Mercedes-Diesel, was silver colored and the dirt was not as visible as on my new dark metallic cherry Honda. After more than a quarter century, my old car had not one single scratch! Oh, I should have bought a silver colored Honda Accord!Since it is said that it requires very few repairs, I believe it could have been much better than the Mercedes.
