2012 Accord Coupe

Was my first car, pretty comfortable, mpg was rather lackluster I had a difficult time achieving 30 when it was advertised at 33 mpg highway. Great engine, features were ok for a 2012 no Bluetooth on the LX-S. Looks were rather breath taking for a midsize car.

Do NOT recommend this car The problems stem from t

I bought this car used with very low miles and *seemingly* well cared for. I've had it for 2 years and I've kicked myself for purchasing it without doing extensive research. The good is that even with stock tires the Accord sits up high enough that when driving off a steep hill the bottom doesn't scrap (tons of hills like this where I live), the steering and handling is top notch and I have the 4-cylinder LX and it has the same amount of power as a V6. The bad is that the original paint is low quality and chips off easily, the cheap plastic parts on the interior and exterior warp, break and come off - they could have and should have been metal in the first place, the way the dash is shaped is a nightmare when it comes to using the only cigarette charging port that isn't in the arm rest but my number 1 problem with this car has to do with the oil & oil changes. It takes 0-20 oil "only". The selling point is for this oil is that it "increases MPH" however the oil is more like brown water rather than the oil consistency a vehicle should run on. The thin oil mean more stress on the engine/motor which will reduce the engine life overall (especially when you live where it's over 90 for 5 months out of the year & when you drive in more stop & go traffic). My other problem with the oil is that it is more expensive to run the 0-20 when it comes to oil changes also. I prefer to do my own oil changes however the first time I needed to do the oil change I bought the oil, oil filter and was ready to start. However unless you can jack this car up higher than what the jack it comes with can go, you will have a problem reaching the oil cap & filter. It is placed so far back that it was not possible to reach. I've had plenty of people ask me if I like this car and recommend it and I ALWAYS tell them, I do not recommend it and explain why. I may have purchased this car used however the problems I have with this car don't stem from it being a "used car". The problems stem from the manufacturer, Honda.

Best car I ever drove

I have the V6 version of the 2012 Accord and although I am accustomed to driving BMW, I can't fault this car. It's sporty, the interior is nicely done, the leather is soft but tough. It's very reliable, never broken down in 90k miles, and when it finally does, it will be cheaper to fix than any other car I've owned. Also fantastic in the snow.
