NO Product Support

Accord Sedan EX-L V-6, Owned for 9,900 miles. Traded for Toyota Highlander after American Honda told me the operation of the vehicle was "normal" and like any other new Accord of the same trim/equipment level. Driveline developed a loud rattle, like valve clatter, at 9,200 miles. Honda dealer replaced transmission and torque converter. Problems got worse, and original complaint got worse. Started to call the car "shake, rattle and roll" or "snap, crackle, pop". HARD downshifts that cause severe transmission noise, extremely extended upshifts between 3rd and 4th gears, poor headlight road illumination, TPMS alerted low tire pressure falsely twice, radio developed buzz on all stations/bands. Car is product that was rushed to market to stop the sales bleeding on this model. AMERICAN Honda walked from liability, and told me all was normal. CHECK the COMPLAINTS section of the NHTSA RECALLS/COMPLAINTS website. Last count - 1 recal, 78 complaints and 6 Service Bulletins. Stay away from this car.

Basic model that has everything

My wife has driven Jeeps for the past 25 years, so driving the Accord requires an adjustment in thinking (lower to the ground). Other than that, after a month in the Accord she says she loves the car and has zero complaints. She especially likes the rear-view camera that turns on when backing up. We wouldn't have paid extra for that feature, but it was included as a feature in the base-model Accord, and we're EXTREMELY grateful for that. Now that we know how useful it is, we'll make sure we get it on future cars. My wife also reports that she likes the Accord's handling and peppy response when she steps on the gas -- not bad at all for a fairly small engine. The ride in this car is not as smooth as the Camry we test-drove, but I think that's the tradeoff you make for better handling and road feel.

Honda for life

I recently traveled from Staten Island to DCH Academy Honda in New Jersey to purchase my first car; a black Honda accord exl with navigation. My father also recently bought a Honda CRV from them in the past six months, and he loves it. My family currently owns four Honda's and we and we are very satisfied. I have driven them all my life and love the smooth ride and how reliable they are in the long run. We both had Khalil Quraishi help us, and his wonderful service and rates had us coming back for more! HIGHLY recommend him for your next purchase. I was able to drive home with my car the very same day! All around great customer service from every person we spoke to and we are two very happy customers!

Happy with Honda

Very happy with my new Honda Accord EX-L. For the money, I feel like my Honda purchase was a no-brainer. Checked out Toyota, Nissan, Buick, Dodge, and Chevrolet. Not counting the anticipated re-sale value, I think I got more features for my cash than the others. I love my gas mileage, having a couple of 40+ mpg trips with the air-conditioner running. I would like to have had a little better warranty (36-month, 36000 miles), which pales in comparison to some others (10 year, 100,000).
