Very reliable

This car has excellent gas mileage, and been very reliable. Honda makes a great product in the civic.

Bought used, drove for 2 years

I liked the car overall. Unfortunately this specific car had unresolved manufacturing defects by the time I owned it. So if you're planning to buy this year and model I'd definitely look at consumer reports and attend to whether the VIN had not only any recalls but also service bulletins that needed to be taken care of. Besides this, I really liked the car, that's why I chose Honda.

Most Reliable Car you can get and save lots on gas

It's a great reliable car that will last a long time. It's a pretty comfortable interior. You will save lots on gas due to it being 4 cylinders. Take care of it and it will last for a long time, mine currently has 200,000+ miles and still runs like a champ.

Very reliable and great value for the price.

I am 6'2" and drove this vehicle for 12 years. It fit me (barely) hence the 3 stars on comfort. It is extremely dependable and will run for quite a while longer.

Killer Commuter

I have driven this car hard and long. It always starts. It always stops. It always lets me know when something is about to go wrong. Minimal repairs, good in snow (with good tires), for its size and weight, and has a significant amount of space with the seats folded down. I highly recommend this car for the budget and space conscious person looking for a reliable vehicle.

Really a 2005 Honda Si that I bought

Funny...can't seem to help driving this car like a bit of a sport with its five speeds and high revving engine...unlike my '94 Toyota Camry station wagon that I drive like a limousine. Feel like it's going to give me better gas mileage than the Camry, but only by a little. Got 29 miles per gallon out of my first tank. Camry wagon has been giving me 26/27 miles per gallon this summer. Was surprised at the size of the reserve in the Honda (after the light comes on indicating tank almost empty). With the amount apparently remaining after the light had come on 24 miles previous, and using my 29 miles per gallon, I calculated the range as all of 70 miles when the light first appears. Camry has a more generous more comfortable driver's seat...Si's front seats are sporty looking, but feel a bit thin...which doesn't work real well with the sporty suspension. Altogether I might rather use the Camry for a long trip. But the Si is a hoot driving around town, making my commute fun! Like the hatchback style that I bought, and its subtle spoiler, all of which disappears after this 2005 model year, getting replaced by a trunk and overblown-looking spoiler. First car in this tour of Japan was a 2000 Subaru Impreza wagon that I liked very well except for its aftermarket clutch and I drove it from 123,000 miles to 223,000 miles from 2008 to 2012 or so until I ended up in the middle of a three-car pile-up. Didn't like my 2003 Impreza wagon at all...needed head gaskets among other things and I did not have it long! Honda Si currently with 146,000 miles, Camry wagon at 262,000 miles...hope to have the Honda for a good time to come!
