Wonderful small car
Traded an older Corolla for a new Civic sedan after driving several other small sedans. Comfort and fit sold the Honda. Great mpg with lots of electronics. Quiet smooth ride around town and on the highway. This is my first Honda and so far couldn't be more delighted.

Just need more passing power
The electronics in this car are far superior to what I had in my BMW 335i. I love everything about this car except the passing power. It would be great to have this car equipped with the BMW motor. All in all, this is an excellent city car however, I think I would not like it in a long trip to Las Vegas for example as it would find a very hard time climbing the hills at Baker, CA. However, it would perform well when there are no hills to climb.

Clutch failed
I bought this car new obviously, but in less than 9000 miles the master clutch cylinder went out. I bought this car thinking it will be reliable, well guess not. It's good on gas and im happy about that!

Seats Have No Suupport
I purchased my 2012 Honda Civic as I had great luck with my previous 2001 Civic. The major problem I have with the car are the poorly supportive seats. After 20 miles, my back hurts to the point that the car is not driveable. Honda, in their desire to cost cut, utilized seats with inadequate support. The other grip I have with the car is the amount of plastic in the interior of the car. Again, in Honda's desire to cost-cut, the decision was made to give the interior a very hard-edged look. Could not recommend to a friend.

Looking for a Gas Saver
If people are looking for a gas saver with the exception . They have to buy this Honda Civic HF model. It's been proven since in the 80's. HF are the best at this point. It saves you gas from 41 mpg to 48 mpg with a regular gas. That you can't beat.

Excellent New Car Choice
I recently purchased a Honda Civic LX about a month ago. I did a lot of research in advance and was down to the hyundai Elantra, Sonata, Mazda3, and Chevy Cruz. The main thing I was pushing for was a car with good miles per gallon and some kind of decent performance. The Mazda3 seemed to have that nailed, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with the new technology they used to achieve it. I decided to wait to see if it turns out to be reliable. The Elantra was looking better and better, but for the price, it turned out to be a bit more with the extras the dealer automatically ships it with (things not always mentioned in the base invoice price). In the end for the money, the Civic seemed like a hands down winner. Reliability is an absolute must, then value for the money and mpg are right up there. So far, the car handles great, is comfortable, and is fairly enjoyable to drive. The miles per gallon is a bit disappointing. When I do a lot of highway driving, I can't seem to get it beyond about 33 maybe 34. It was billed as bewteen 36 and 39 without the "eco" button. I've been driving with that button on since I got it, and the car is not living up to my hopes in that area. Otherwise, I'm happy with the purchase. I'm hoping there is something I need to learn to do to achieve 36+ mpg. If this area is not a deal breaker for you, then you'll be very happy with this car. Otherwise, you might want to look at other options. Cheers!

2012 Civic
Keep this short, great gas mileage could be better on breaking responsiveness as well as acceleration and cornering.
