Honda CRV
One of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned. The CRV is great in the snow. I will be looking for a newer one soon.

A Great First Car
I'm the second owner of this car. I purchased it from my father when I turned 18. It has 182,000 miles on it, and seems to be good for that many more in my opinion. I've had some issues with it mechanically, but nothing that ever left me stranded. That being said, this is not a good car to buy if you plan on doing major repairs yourself, the engine bay is very tight, and crucial parts are hard to get at. Performance is so-so. For a 4 cylinder SUV, it's not bad. 0-60 Happens in about 9 seconds, but the 2.4 is torquey enough that it pulls the car along just fine. Even though it has a large 4 cylinder motor, the power delivery is silky smooth, the likes of which I expect out of a 6 cylinder motor. The 4-speed autobox hinders passing maneuvers though, as it likes to shift right down into second, and spin the engine at a slightly uncomfortable 5500 RPM or so. Although mine is 2wd, it performs well in the snow, just don't expect any sort of help from traction control. It's excellent for long, multi-day road trips, but it can get a little loud inside at speed. At 72 mph, I get about 25 MPG on the highway, but my average is around 22 or so. All in all, this is an excellent first car. Personally, I like the styling of the 02-06 models far better than the new ones, so I plan on keeping mine until pigs fly.

2002 HONDA CRV-EX
I've loved (and still love) this vehicle. I've just purchased a newer RAV4, and it makes me wonder if I should keep my CRV! In addition to my main description, the car has been exceptionally dependable, is totally comfortable, has lots of cargo space, and hosts quite a few "hidden" storage compartments and high-end features. If you're at all interested, please contact me now for a viewing and a test drive. By the way, I now drive an average of 6,300 miles per year, and the mileage on the odometer was accumulated in large part on long-distance highway driving.

Honda crv 2002
I owned the car for 12 yrs.It is my first SuV ever, change oil every 3,000 miles, change brakes when they wear out,had to change abs lights both dirver and passenger, added roof rack, fog lights and a rear lift.it's a GREAt car,I have about 181,000 miles on it.One thing i can say is you will spend less fixing it than SUPing it up.Very spacious ..if anyone has one keep trucking.

My first car, best ever and most reliable!!
I received this car as a graduation gift with about 180k miles. At first drive I fell in love!! The space was endless, perfect for a sporty girl like me as I had gear and equipment to haul with me every now and then. Easy to drive and park, because it's not very heavy or wide. I replaced a cylinder coil, front axles and wheel bearings, brakes, and had one tune up. Those weren't big issues for me as I kept it well maintained. The inside of the car was nicely designed with little pockets and features that I loved!! Perfect for a family car, and did great on gas. She made it to 240k before I was rear ended and it was claimed as a total loss. I was heartbroken to say the least. My CR-V was cute and fun, and I would buy another one over and over if I could.

You will never go wrong
unexpectanly I bought this car with 35k miles when my daughter was buying a car. I had liked this car before but when I saw it I immediately gave the dealer an offer. The next day I went and bought it and since then I have been a fan forever, I have lots of compliments in the way it drives, is super comfortable inside [even the back seat is higher than normal for better visibility. I have now 101,200 miles and my car is smooth, cute, fun and reliable, I had to replace the a/c compressor, I would buy this car over and over and over again,my neighbor saw my car and he now is a "happy camper" with a brand new 2013 CRV... LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!

Excellent Except for...
55 yr old professional. Have owned this vehicle seven years. It had 60K when I bought it. Now has 150K. Have owned many others with which to compare. This is an excellent car. I have only one complaint in all that time. The interior road noise is just too loud. I dont listen to radios or stereo much anyway. However, this will probably send us toward a volvo xc90 or BMW X3 or similar just to get less noise. Except for noise we would get another one just like it. As far as MPG, it got 28 until about 100K on car and then down to about 22MPG. That is on the highway driving 65. As it gets older, expect slightly less I guess. We do change oil every 3K.
