Hearty Car. Absolute Champion.
My dad bought this car around 2010. Used it, gave it to my mom, my mom gave it to me in 2020. Rarely had issues. Hearty car, withstood my neglect. Never needed anything other than oil changes. It got totaled in an accident last week. I'm grieving the loss. This car was a champion until the very end. RIP Barbara.

Fun, Practical, and Reliable
We bought our CPO 2006 CR-V SE in 2008 with 19K miles. It replaced a 2000 CR-V with 180K miles, and the 2.4L/5 speed felt so much peppier in the mountains than the old 2.0L/ 4 speed. It now has 243K trouble-free miles and has been passed down from Mom to our teen daughters. Everyone who gets in is amazed that it's so much roomier in both rows than the outside would suggest. Lots of cargo room, too. Simple, ergonomic dashboard controls. Love the dash-mounted shift lever and flip-up center console. Leather seats are tough as nails and still look good. It's fun to drive. Not overpowered, but feels peppy and responsive, revs easily and smoothly when you punch the throttle to merge or pass. Great outward visibility. Tight steering, firm brake feel. Very maneuverable in tight spaces. Best feature is the low, low cost of operation. It has never broken down. No expensive timing belt services. The only non-routine repairs were a thermostat at 190K, brake pads at 210K, and a knock sensor at 240K. We just can't seem to spend money on this vehicle. Everything works, AC blows cold, starts every time, runs smoothly, plenty of power for mountain driving. The flaws I've noted are relatively few. One, seats are contoured for smaller people. That's us, so we're fine, but larger people probably would not be happy. Two, the seats fold and tumble, so you don't get a full-length flat load floor. It holds a lot, but you have to load vertically. Third, the cupholders are poorly designed and don't seem to fit any common drink sizes in the US. Four, the rear cargo door swings to the wrong side for curbside loading in the US. In my opinion the 2006 SE was the best CR-V ever made, and I've already put my daughters on notice that when they move on, it's mine.

Grossly over Priced
Why is this so overpriced? this car should not cost more than about $4000. You can buy a CR-V that's almost new for that price. I am looking for a CR-V, but I would never pay that $25000 for it.

Great car
I purchased this car last fall, since I have put 5k miles on and its been flawless. The car is good on gas returning 23 to 24 MPG on the high way. Regularly take it for 2+ hour drives with no worry. The suv has plenty of ground clearance which is great to get you to the trail head or to that remote fishing spot. Car is a little underpowered, but what you lose in the power you make up for in fuel economy, space, reliability, comfort, and over all ease of use.

Was clooking for a 2005-2006 CR-V
I bought my CR-V in August with 149,000 miles, in good shape and reasonably priced. It's been 5 months and I am again enjoying driving this Gen 2 CR-V (had a 2002 previously). The lease on my Outback was up and no longer wishing to have a car payment I bought the CR-V. It is an absolutely wonderful car to drive. I went for the 2006 because of some changes (improvements) Honda made to it. One being the full compliment of air bags and standard ABS . It handles well and is fun to drive. No longer having a car payment is a big plus also. I'm doing preventive maintenance on it now due to the mileage , a little at a time not because I have to but because I want to. Mine is a rare 5 speed manual! My daughters' Subaru lease is up soon and is also looking at 05-06 CR-Vs too!

Reliable, Comfortable, Great Value!
This compact crossover was just the car I needed. Reliable, economical, comfortable, practical, fun, fast enough for daily driving, safe. It was a great commuting car, and got a lot of use lugging gardening equipment and supplies all around the area. It was easier to handle than my old pickup truck, and had a better sound system to boot. I loved this SUV!
