Reliable . Safe and Stylish.
Brand new, this car was stylish and comfortable. I got the leather package, however in the Texas heat, without a garage I would not recommend it. After 11 years there is some cracking on the seats in front, but the back looks good. What is really impressive is that 11 years, 190K miles later, this vehicle is reliable and performs well. I have done a bit more maintenance in the past two years, but not because it has broken, mainly as preventative and to keep it as reliable as it has been all these years.

Super reliable - LOW maintenance Car
This car is excellent for someone who wants to drive a reliable car for another 150,00 miles. We used this car for local commuting to work. This car is well built and runs smoothly with plenty of room for family, bikes, athletic equipment or runs for hardware, groceries, or even hauling things.

One of the best vehicles I've ever owned
I've owned this car for 7 years now as a second owner, have done nothing but standard maintenance and have nothing but great things to say. At 145k miles she's still running strong and I wouldn't hesitate to take a cross country ride tomorrow.

Reliable Car
Moved up from a 2000 CR-V. The 2006 is a heavier car than the 2000 model. Consumes more gasoline, but a much stronger/stable car for Highway driving. Still miss the great 360 visibility of the 2000. The 2006 is the last year where the back door upper glass window can be pulled up and not have to open door (this is a great convenience going away in 2007). 2006 A/C failed at 100K my 2000 is still going. In general I have had to replace more things in the 2006 and not in the 2000. Still the CR-V is a good value for the money.

Reliable plain Jane crossover
this is a solid reliable car. It has not been without its quirks. There is a shimmy under acceleration in 3rd gear (auto trans) and there was a lot of body flex. The paint quality was not very good, and the flip down center console was made the same way as the step 2 kids toys.

Reliable, Great Crossover
Great car for college and starting out. Decent gas mileage and capacity for carrying luggage/pets. Front passenger seat has decent legroom (unless you're over 6 ft, which has been pointed out about once a week by my fiance lol). Mine is getting older and had some damage from its previous owner (which could be fixed), but it's been going strong for over 4 years now (it replaced my 2005 CR-V that was totaled in an accident). I will be looking to get a larger SUV, but the CR-V is a good choice for those looking for something smaller but still larger than a sedan/hatchback.

talked mom into buying one!!
Extremely reliable--no major problems except for just replacing the a/c compressor. Has a timing chain vice a belt. Great mileage, averaging 30 mpg with my manual transmission. Back seat configuration options make it very flexible for carrying loads. I really like the 2006 model because the back windows provide for better viewing and increased safety compared to the tear drop windows in the 2007 and newer models. AWD takes me to the mountains in Kokee, down roads where the big trucks go!!
