recently bought a 2008 CRV
Car is too big; does not handle well, gas mileage way over stated. Give me back my Volvo! This is all I have to say. It drives like a truck, and handles the same. Don't be seduced by external appearances.

No more Toyotas
We traded in our 98 Rav4 for a 2008 Honda CR-V EX. We considered buying another Rav4, but were uncomfortable with all the recalls (including the one I just had with the ECM on my 05 Matrix). Subaru was another contender, but the reliability and the styling of the CR-V won out. Great acceleration for being 4 cylinders, handles great in the snow, small enough to feel like a car but big enough to cart around our music gear. Very happy so far. (Only complaint is the comfort of the front bucket seats - some additional lumbar support needed.)

Good value for the money
This is a good solid vehicle for transportation. Mileage is 26/28mpg. Well thought out interior. After owning and Audi it takes a little getting used to. Needed a vehicle to flat tow behing an RV. Everything works as it is supposed to. Has sensors for low tires and Plus but the visors don't have vanity lights?!?! Curious! Not sure if this is an option or what? Anyway it has more road noise than most sedans. How much would floor board padding cost? Good vahicle for the money, But a German vehicle it is not.

Another Great Honda!
This 2008 is the 8th Honda automobile we've owned since 1982 and it's just as satisfying to drive and in it's design function as all the other Hondas (1 Civic, 3 Accords, 3 Acuras- Legend/ TL/ TSX) My new bride had been driving a 95 Saturn awagon and wanted something to give her the practicality of the wagon and also be fuel efficient and comfortable on trips, plus room for the dog, and the CRV meets ALL those needs and looks and feels like all great!

Car fine but underpowered and noisy
The CRV is rated high for safety and is the main reason my wife talked me into it. With only a smallish 4 cylinders its performance is lacking, but I surely thought that the gas mileage would be better. We only get about 25 mpg on the road....ours is the 4 wd, which gives less gas mileage. The car is very sturdy and well made. Everything works as it should work. The Navigation system is just "OK," as the voice input is difficult to use, and when you've had Google maps available to all, the screen showing is lacking. The interior is nice and we do like the leather seats (heated, but not cold enough yet to use). The car is quite stiff in handling, not "smooth" when taking any bumps, and is noisy. Our last car was an older Lexus, and it was much much quieter. The "trunk" area is clever and very useful, we bought some kind of a factory "cover" that essentially hides whatever might be beneath it. The gas tank is just over 15 gallons, which does not get you to a relatively standard 400 miles. This surprised me as my two previous cars would go just over 400 miles, and each was a v-6. The model is quite popular, which is good for resale.

WHAT A GREAT CAR
Honda makes the best cars in the world, hands down. I also own a 2000 Honda Odyssey and it has not skipped a beat in the 193,000 miles I have on it.

Solid Buy
I've had the 2008 CR-V EX 4WD for over a year and have had no issues whatsoever. Style and features are great, it's simply a well built car in a small SUV body. At first I was concerned about a lack of power when compared to a prior V6, but then realized why I looked at a CR-V in the first place, improved gas mileage in a 4 without driving around in a truck the size of a living room. MPGs naturally improve with highway driving. Very good turning radius, handles well in tight turns and limited space, has an upscale handling feel. I'd only note that the ride is a little more 'sporty' than I would've figured, but overall I can't see any other small crossover comparing as well.

Very Nice
I'm really enjoying this EX-L w/ Navi. It was worth it for me to buy a used car with the top trim level and I'm still finding cool things like the back-up camera is really convenient, the Nav screen is touch, it comes with a trial membership XM radio, and the sound system. The car handles well and is smooth on the road. I take my turns slower than I did in my Nissan Sentra.

Favorite Car after a Year
I?ve owned this vehicle for over a year and have driven it 20,000 miles. I?ve only had to have the oil changed twice. The alignment has always slightly pulled since the day I bought it. When I first purchased I had them adjust the steering wheel since the tires were actually aligned. I live and Florida though and the roads are pretty flat and in good condition so, it doesn?t pull enough for me to feel that it?s dangerous and I haven?t noticed any excess tread wear. Okay the other down side is the driver seat back can be uncomfortable. There are no air vents for passengers in the back. Also, the radio nob to change the channel I feel is too far to the right. I?m petite and I feel its distracting to have to reach over that far. You can change the programs from the steering wheel, but only programmed channels. Those are my biggest complaints and not enough for me to discourage anyone from buying this vehicle. The rest of the car is great. The carpet and leather have really stayed nice. I love the cargo tray for the extra storage! It is probably my favorite extra about the car. Also, my gas is around 24 mpg for both city and highway combined driving. Big plus is this car also takes regular gas and runs great. The seats folding down and forward which works great for when I have the dogs in the back. Also, it?s spacious enough for grown adults to sit in the back and feel comfortable. My husband ownes a Jeep 4 door wrangler and for road trips my car always wins and he does the driving.

Major Alignment Issues
I had problems with my new 2008 Honda CRV since I drove it off the lot - it pulled to the right - I brought it back 1 week after purchasing for an alignment. They couldnt figure out how to make it straight. I went through 2 sets of tires in less than a year and a half, even after tires were rotated 3 times..it doesnt drive straight and causes premature wear of tires.
