Super .... this baby wont ever role over!

My husband and i were always a little reluctant to get into the SUV space as we both are fast drivers and where never comfortable imagining and sitting as a co driver in SUV's while taking sharp turns... than a day came we thought... lets look at new cars...as we have been a honda fan in the past and owneed two Acccords so we drove down to our nearest honda dealer... .to our utter surprise .. this was different.. it looked like a SUV but handeled like a car.. we took it to test .. oh yes we did.. sad that i dont have the sales man's picture with his brows all raised up:) Who says this car doesnt have punch.. i think if you know you car well you will know how to get the punch out without flexing the mussle.... yes i agree it can be slow to start with .. but once you get the hang of it you wouldnt wana part with this over anything!!! It is sure value for money, love the under seat tray ( a lot of ppl dont know that the V has a under seat tray on the co passenger side.. )... Awesome air vents for the back consealed but very effective.. actually all honda's have a rear vent which comes on when u direct the air to foot.. they just dont have a fance console in the centre but does the job equally well.... This is relaible as anything could get.. i like the looks the way it is .. i think i woud agree with someone " would it look nice if its falling to the sides" emm.. may be not.. its a SUV right.. lets leave it like that.... We have taken it camping, offroading, crossed streams... u name it we have put ti to task.. and it always has come out as a winner.... i like the talk mirror but i hate the fact that the Vanity mirrors dont have lights... grr.... !!! I wish Honda would give better tires on the car.. the OEM are not the best but are soft enuff to keep the car running smooth. ... Overall its a car you will love over time and it will continue to grow on you.. :) if you are thinking of buying one dont think to much and if you are thinking of a RAV than this is surely a supperior ride... coz even the Toyoya dealers say a toyota cant match the ride and feel of an Honda :)

Great for your money

I bought the SE model. it comes with more features as well as 4wd. The salesperson told me the diffrence between 2wd and 4wd in mpg is one mile per gallon. I'm so pleased with the interior design. I love the dashboard layout and seat comfort, and theres lots of interior room. The 4wd works great in the snow. the 2.4 4cyl engine has plenty of power when getting on the highway. At highway speeds it does have very little road noise, but you won't hear it if you have the radio on which has a great sound system. I have nothing bad to pick about this vehicle and I think its ridiculous if other people have complaints about it.

One Outstanding Vehicle!

I've had my new 2011 CR-V SE for almost a month now and couldn't be happier. Honda was wise to introduce the SE model for 2011 as it gives their customers a model that's more upscale than the LX, but doesn't force them to put up with the less-than-universally-appreciated hole in the roof (i.e. the power moonroof). I did a lot of research on the CR-V and was pleased to find that the vehicle is everything that the testers and reviewers said it is...and more. Hondas have long been criticized for their road noise, but I've found my CR-V to be no better or worse than any of the 26 other vehicles I've owned. And I may be somewhat unique in that I regularly get gas mileage that's better than the sticker ratings of 21 city/27 highway. With careful driving, I'm easily getting 29MPG on the side streets of the suburbs...which is not exactly the stop-and-go of city driving, but it's far from from the one constant speed of highway driving. I'm also very impressed with the way this vehicle handles, and the interior space utilization is nothing short of phenomenal. Some of the other features that I really like are the trip computer; the way you can program the auto-locking of the doors to suit your taste; and the ease with which the back seat can be reconfigured. And I especially like the fact that the spare tire is carried inside (instead of on the rear door). If I were to change anything at all, it would be to replace the marginally-useful, flip-down center console of the LX/SE/EX with the fixed-in-place console of the EXL. I suppose some might find useful the walk-thru capability that's afforded by the mini console, but I'd much rather have the extra covered storage made available via the console in the EXL. I usually keep a car for a couple of years before trading it in, but my Glacier Blue CR-V is one that I really think I'll much longer than the others. This vehicle is versatile, comfortable, economical, attractive, and an amazing value...what more could anyone want?

Best SUV in my opinion

I love my CR-V EXL and wouldn't trade it for anything! I love how the "expert" reviewer states that the CRV lacks in Style compared to a Hyundai or Kia...Um....I would take a honda over a Kia or Hyundai (ford or Toyota as well) ANYDAY just for the fact of the reliability and outstanding reputation of being a dependable vehicle no matter what the honda looks like! You couldn't give me a Kia or Hyundai. The 180 hp is perfect for my husband and I and I've had my car loaded with passengers and cargo and it still hade excellent "oomph" on the interstate. I had a V6 Chevy Suv in the past that felt less powerful than my CRV. I also love the crossover look, it's not boxy or looking like it's going to fall to the side on a turn.

2011 CRV SE

I'm pretty happy with the CRV. It's comfortable and I have good peace of mind with a Honda product. We love the look and style of the CRV. The driving and handeling is nice however the pick up is not great. The other downside which goes to Honda as a whole is that they do not provide many bells and whistles unless you get the highest model which I find to be the case with the SE. Again overall I'm happy with my purchase and feel very comfortable driving around my newborn in the CRV.

Fun car

This is my first time owning a Honda. Have had it for 3 months and love it! I went from a 2001 6 cyc Subaru Outback to this. I wanted a car that would get better gas milage and sat a bit higher up. The CRV has a 4 cyc engine 95% of the time performs just as well as the Outback. Only exception I noticed is on the highway up steeper hills I do have to step on the accelerator a bit harder than I did in the Outback. But that is the only bit I see that is a difference...can definitely live with that. Cosmetically I like everything...I do want to get seat covers for it as this has clothe seats and I have a 6 yr old...nuff said! Only two things I don't care too much for as I don't get why Honda designed it this way: one is the console between the front seats, its a tray you can fold down...but there isn't much room there even then. I would have preferred storage underneath it. The other thing are the two openings under the shift - very hard to see what you have in them. I think a slanted door you can open from the top to store things would have been a better design. But both are pretty minor in the overall scheme. Those things are the reason why I did not give 5 stars. As for reliability...I've only owned this 3 mos...not enough time to really give an honest answer for that. Ask me again 5 yrs from now! :-)

Made it through the winter

Love this CR-V. This is the 4th Honda I have owned from a prelude to accord, civic and now the Cr-V. Love sitting up higher. Since I have always preferred smaller cars, was pleasantly surprised that the dimensions are barely bigger than the civic, but it feels like a completely different car. Love the roominess of all the seats and the back area. One small negative is the little cubby holes aren't in a great location and still haven't figured out how to use them yet. Also, the AM/FM buttons should be placed on the left side of the radio, but certainly not difficult enough to take away from the overall greatness and fun of the CR-V. Great car for a great value. You will enjoy it.

average but reliable transportation

Average performance, somewhat buzzy motor. The motor as was said has very modest torque under 2500 rpm, but largest downside is transmission ratio of 5th gear. The 5th gear is very tall and impractical under 60 mph. Acceleration in 5th under 60 mph is only a dream so you end up driving somewhat aggesively to compensate for the large GAP between 4th and 5th that is very noticeable. Honda R&D should have caught this one seems to me, rather obvious. Seats are noticeably hard, not a long distance comfort runner even though geared for it. Otherwise a decent vehicle...

Love the new CR-V

My dad and i went to Prime Honda this past monday. I have always been a honda fan, so i was hoping to get my dad to want one too! After test driving a few options, my dad fell in love with the 20011 CR-V!!! Our sales person, Maria Surprenant was great!! She showed us all the different features the suv had and made sure to go over every button before we left.

Saftey at its Best

I purchased a 2011 CR-V EX model and really loved it. Two weeks after I purchased, I was hit head on by another driver. The car did exactly what it was supposed to. It absorbed all the impact in the front and crumpled to avoid anything coming inside the cabin. I walked away from the accident with only bruises. I have never been more happy with a vehicle's performance after a collision. I would absolutely recommend this car to everyone.
