2012 CRV
Price for year end model very good. We did not want a large SUV and the new 2012 CRV body style and interior design are excellent. Averaging 29MPG through out spectrum driving (City/HWY Combo). 3000 miles on it in 5 weeks and not a problem. The ECO feature seems to function well. Only having a 4 cyl option is felt when going up hills (even though I have left it in ECO mode which reduces power slightly and may have some effect on hill performance). Overall we are extremely satisfied with quality and performance. This is 5th Honda for us and have never been disappointed in any. Highly recommend for anyone desiring a smaller SUV type vehicle (even though some have called the CRV a Crossover). Very good size for 4 person family.

Loving my compact SUV!
Great on gas and handles very well! So roomy on the inside..very deceiving from the outside. Controls are easy to use and well placed on dash panel. Lots of space for hauling, especially with the back seats down. I had a tailgate spoiler added to back that makes it very sporty looking. The only con I noticed was that when it rains, my brakes are very touchy and jolting until they dry out. I dont know if this is normal or not, probably going to have it checked out just incase. Overall its a wonderful reliable car!

SUV Sure Bet
I didn't start out thinking I would buy a CR-V. But I wanted an affordable SUV with good gas mileage and space. I test drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee (loved it, but pricey), sat in a Subaru Impreza (I didn't fit, at 6' 3"), drove the Outback & Forester (wife didn't like the way the wheel vibrated during highway driving and it didn't "feel" right), Kia Soul (great looks, not enough room) and Sorento (didn't wow me). We wanted AWD, so were thinking we'd settle for the Forester. But we decided to try the 2012 CR-V. As soon as we got into one and even before driving off the lot, we LOVED it! It had pep, was easy to drive, and had ample legroom in the front and rear. The back seats were so easy to fold down, opening up to 71 sqft, which was best in class (needed for college moving). And we loved the standard features on the base LX, which included a blind spot mirror design, rear back-up camera, wheel mounted controls (new for me), Bluetooth HandsfreeLink, ECON mode, AWD, and all kinds of digital metric goodies. The topper is that after 2000+ miles, I get over 28 mpg in heavily mixed driving. The best was 36 mpg on the highway. And I'm saving $20+/wk at the gas pump, easy. It's not all roses, though; I have to be careful about bumping my head on the rear hatch when unloading. But I'll take that! Plus, my wife loves driving it, and she's not crazy about SUVs. I highly recommend this one.

CRV 2012
Best crossover I had driven. It is what I call a breasts up vehicle. Vehicle tracks like a wolf on a hunt.

Beieve it or Not, It Could be Better
After years of hearing from everyone about the great quality of Honda, we finally bought one and I must admit that it is truly a great car-the fit and finish far exceeds anything in its class and the engineering, from the ECO fuel savings system (35 MPG highway!) to the kindergarten-simple blue-tooth is first rate. But it nags me with minor but aggravating faults! The high mpg comes at a power cost as the small 4 cyl motor really labors uphill. The drivers cabin is just too tight if you (like me) are over 6 feet tall. The seats are too firm and their manual adjust system is limited. The gear shifter would have been better higher up on the dash as its location significantly cuts leg and torso width. And the emergency-brake foot pedal is way too low and actually forces your ankle to be wedged between it and the floor. But that said, these are things I will learn to live with given its 5-star crash ratings and universally acclaimed quality.

not made for short people
My husband decided I needed a new car. I have been driving a Chevy Tracker for the last 8 years and loved it. After looking at different available vehicles, I settled on the CR-V. What sold me?....The arm rests. Most cars today have a center console that is too low or far back to serve as a comfortable arm rest. We are using this car for our extended road trips and needed that added comfort. I can't get use to the squashed feeling. The back side windows are difficult to see out of. I'm 5'2. When I get the driver's seat high enough to see out the window, I hit my head on the door frame getting out of the car and have to duck when moving the sunvisor to the side window. When I get the seat far enough to the wheel, so I can reach the pedals, I hit my knees getting in and out of the car. I didn't move out of the way quickly enough last week and was rewarded with a very large, deep scratch on my right shin from the very sharp point at the bottom of the door. The back up camera is nothing more than another do-dad, I still physically turn around to make sure nothing is coming either way. I don't think the seats are terribly comfortable. I'm comparing all this to my Tracker. They just don't seem to make cars anymore that aren't squatty, with slitty eyed windows. Luckily, husband is leasing this car as a Business vehicle. I won't have to have it for long. Unfortunately, I don't know if there is anything better out there.

Best Small AWD SUV
Was looking for a reliable small SUV that my wife and I could drive; especially for Northeast winters. The Honda CRV LX model was what I chose over Toyota RAV4, Dodge Journey, Hyundai offerings, and Suburu Forester. Superior look and feel and base model offerings were far superior to the other competitors and price was extremely competitive.
